Every1 focusing on the negative instead of looking at it objectively.
Will this change affect sellers at all? No, sellers will still bump their selling threads and peeps will go to their website or add their cord to conduct a transaction
Will this reduce the amount of scammers? Yes, obviously not all of them but good portion of them or %, not all of the scammers are so ahead of the curve with bunch of fake ids and everything rolling ready to create a new account. In fact most scammers do it once then get banned afterwards, this will prevent them from coming back on epicnpc ever again. If it reduces 5% of the total scams on the website im all for it, it's a win in my book.
Mike is clearly trying to make this website safer place for average consumer and i can respect that, i don't mind sending in my documents, neither should any seller if they plan on conducting business on epicnpc.
Something else id like to add is g 2 g / player-auctions or similar websites have literally the same kyc policy, you have to verify by submitting documents before listing a offer. The concept of epicnpc is similar, only difference is here on epicnpc the deal is done outside of the website in most cases, which is why sellers need to be verified even more.
Eh?
You got your logic twisted a bit, if there's trades happening outside the website why tf is it then in anyone's interest that you're verified???
Trading outside TG or even purely on discord implies certain level of trust in between both parties , and if you get scammed well that's on you! (Why didn't you stay on epicNPC for all the communication, why didn't you get TG?)
It's whole another story with g 2 g and the other website's, they have automated systems that the buyers MUST be confident about. Afterall they guarantee that you'll get the account within seconds after payment so if you are getting scammed you're gonna be blaming g 2 g for what happened.
There's nothing like that here, this website offers 0 guarantees!!! Even if you get scammed via TG , you don't get your money back or the account.
It was built on the mutual trust between buyers and the sellers - no automated systems , very little rules and open environment- kinda lika faire or a flea market in that anyone can come and trade. And up to this date it's been working alright, why the need for change I don't understand??
There's a reason that sellers list here and not n g 2 g.
This changes everything about that dynamic , there's no more equal trust between buyer/seller - instead the sellers are treated as potential scammers from the get go, having to jump through countless hoops and give highly personal information all for what? (So they would be less inclined to scam in the future??)
This is not equal treatment for sellers and the buyers, it's how you treat criminals, like legit makes me wanna puke just thinking about it. You give veriff ALL of your personal information and where does it end up/what happens to it is anyone's guess.
Many users already mentioned that veriff is a shady company and was sued very recently for secretly collecting personal information , it settled out of court just so the details of what it was doing with all that info woulnd't leak out.
Sure doesn't seem like they have the best interests for all the naive users that verified through them... (I mean why would they when it's only 4M$ to settle out of court and in the meanwhile they can earn billions from selling all that info)
