Official Suggestion thread - help make EpicNPC a better marketplace

Not Recently Bumped
The autobump price for some forums is too much, 12 random forum threads cost 72$ for 30 days, this is more than paying for a sticky thread on each of these forums, 12x5$=60$ and you will have much better results. Something needs to be done when buying bulk, it should be like a subscription service where you pay a monthly fee and you can autobump as many threads as you like. As it is its only worth it for some big forums (like wow) where there is no room for sticky threads but buying bulk if you wish to sell en masse its just not worth it, the price is too much. This site is not only about the big forums.

If a reasonable subscription existed where it would allow you to do that, I would pay for it, we are talking about 20/30$ max.

A single thread is $6 for 30 days (autobump) in a low activity section.
A sticky thread is $5 for 30 days in a low activity section.

If a low activity section has sticky threads available, then you're better off purchasing a sticky which is also better in terms of exposure.

Auto-bumps were not really made for low activity sections. There's not much use for it. Threads will stay on page 1 much longer, so you don't need to bump every 6 hrs anyway.

In mid and high activity sections where sticky threads are more expensive, it makes more sense to purchase a cheaper auto-bump plan.

It would take a great deal of work to change the way the system works and it would also make it much more complicated. Currently the price is the same everywhere, so members can enter any thread in any section and change the URL easily.

If we change to have 2-3 different price points, then changing threads would be complicated. If you purchased a bump in a cheap section, then wanted to change your thread to a more expensive section the system would have to block them or request them to pay more. Renewing or upgrading the auto-bump plan would also become complicated.

I'm sorry, this is not something we plan to change, but thank you for the suggestion.

No I do not suggest creating different price points depending on the activity of the forum, this is indeed very complicated. What I suggest is to create a new subscription plan where one can pay a monthly fee and gain the ability to autobump any thread, you can leave the rest the same for those who wish to buy autobump for fewer threads on high activity forums. I don't know how complicated or profitable this is for you though. It is just a help to those who sell on many forums.

The system already works this way

Select x threads (5)
Select x days (30)

If you want to auto-bump 5 threads for 30 days each you would use the settings above.

It seems to me that you want a discount price if 30 or 60 days is selected. However with mid/high active sections where auto-bumps are already cheap compared to sticky threads, it would make it even cheaper.

There's really no way to do this without setting up tier pricing depending on forum activity.

have a bug when i can Restart topic that already pinned

Make sticky threads count towards the thread limit per forum section.
Having 3 sticky threads and 3 regular threads with auto bumper seems absurd and creates a monopoly on the entire section.
Or even limit sticky threads 1 per person.

I'm sorry, but we do not plan to limit how members purchase advertising. There's only 9 sold out sections at this time and in none of those sections does a seller have more than 1 sticky thread at this time.

Seems abit excessive in my opinion, and just bloats up the page.
and this is not including the 4-6th user also having a sticky thread at times.

If im a buyer and i check the page, 9 out of the 13 threads that i can see are from the same person or same group / linked accounts.

Amazon Pay method no longer works, i tried different browseers, refreshed page many times

P.S. is there any bug report main topic? will be nice to have one

You need to log into the actually account directly on Amazon, not via Epicnpc.
i did that too, so amazon tab in browser next to epic tab, with logged in user
same error anyway

and upon error it sing out me from amazon tab as well, WTF
and cookies reset did not help too
anybody can use AmazonPay method? looks like its global issue

if anyone will search for similar issue - try another browser, looks like its cookies issue/bug
was able to pay using firefox
Edge and chrome failed

It has been week or more and I tough it could be fixed but idk maybe i am missing news or something because i was lost in news... since last website update all "watched" forums notification section is gone... And now It is super uncomfortable, especially for moderators. I have to open one by one all new mail's and check links in them(even harder on mobile cuz it redirects you everytime you open Link and since last mail update it become even more headache) in old days all it was possible from here, from a simple but reliable notification section... Please make it work again like it used to be 🥲🥲🥲

We already have a cool down to prevent someone from purchased all spots at one time. They have to wait 24 hrs. However if no one wants the open spot, I see no reason to prevent someone from purchasing all spots.

no one purchase that because game release more than 2 months ahead
that allow abusers to buy out all 4 slots for very cheap price

imho its not fair, but okay, your forum = your rules:cool:

about 2 days ago the moderator of the FF section pin 3 threads at once during the release of a new expansion

If a moderator can do it, then i can too. In addition, I have seen few times how you used duplicated threads in Diablo 4 section to outbid the threads of other users while your thread is attached. The rules prohibit creating 2 identical threads, so then you are also an abuser

thread #1: https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/tony-and-friends-any-✅selfplay✅-diablo-4-services.2709389/
thread #2: https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/tony-and-friends-any-diablo-4-services-✅stream✅-spark-from-4-usd-platinum.2334349/

Moreover, the fact that the release is in 2 months is manipulation. There will be an open beta test in 2 days, and in approximately the last 10 days, 50% of all current threads have been created. You yourself created a thread 10 days ago for the same reason. This means that I attached threads while the popularity of the game was increasing and no one was stopping you from buying these threads at a cheap price.

Sticky threads are allowed to break some minor rules. Duplicate threads is one of them. You can have a normal thread and a duplicate sticky thread so this is not abuse.

This is a suggestion thread. Please create a new help thread if you have an issue with someone in a particular forum.

For a marketplace that could get confusing as to what those frames represent. Scammers will immediately abuse them to tell unsuspecting members they're a mod or MM because they have a special frame. Sorry, that's not something we plan to add.

I don't remember if I asked for this before but is it possible to add an option for site visitors to chat with sellers without making an account? "continue as a guest" option. Some forums allow for posting or chating as a guest.

This will remove the need for discord.

Discord is so popular here because people are too bored making an account, this puts a huge barrier for them. Discord is very problematic for keeping your customers but you can't be competitive in this forum without it and it's precisely because of this.

It already works like that. You can continue as guest with just a username.

Hello Admin,
Can you maybe make a veteran Badge for Users that have been longer than 5 years on the Site just like csgo?
There is the Trusted badge which should cover it bud although that is only my opinion. I will leave the call to Mike.
