EpicNPC is proud to announced our new Import Feedback system (http://www.epicnpc.com/itrader_transfer.php) which will allow members to import their feedback from various other websites to add to their iTrader feedback here on EpicNPC.

The imported feedback is add on top of the current system to separate feedback earned on EpicNPC and other websites so it doesn't create any confusion.

Member will be able to import their feedback from the following sites:

  • Ownedcore.com
  • ElitePvPers.com
  • Neoseeker.com
  • MTGsalvation.com
  • Ebay
  • Gamersoul

We will be adding support for other sites like Ebay and D3Scene in the near future. If anyone has any other suggestion on other website, please post here and we'll see if we can add it.

Only members who have upgraded their account to EpicMember or higher will be able to import their feedback. To upgrade please go here
http://www.epicnpc.com/threads/378588-Usergroup-Benefits

All feedback must first be approved before it will display to prevent feedback abuse. The feedback also does not update when you get new feedback on another site. It is a one-time import.

We are working to display this new feedback in members profiles so it will display in all posts just as the normal feedback currently does.

Hope you guys like it and let me know if you experience any issues or problems.

You should add Playerauctions.com
I am really disappointed you didn't already.

This is an awsome idea, already imported my elitepvpers trade rating. Wish all the trading forums had one, so we don't have to write "Yeah, got few TR here, but there's a forum where i have 40+, can prove it by a PM if needed". However I think you should limit to the MMO trading forums and NOT include Ebay. With all the US Ebay hacked accounts, it may create chaos and possible scams here ! For example, one user register, then pay for epic member with a stolen CC, then he imports the credentials of a hacked US Ebay account, thus posing as a trusted member here, which would be a big NO-NO.

In conclusion, think you should stick with the rating import idea to the MMO trading sites mostly, as those are rarely targeted by phishers, thus much lower chance of having problems with stolen accounts, compared to ebay, paypal, etc.

The bug has been fixed and the correct number of feedback will now be imported. Those affected have had their imported feedback removed and you'll have to re-import it.

Feedback from other sites now displays in your profile in all posts as "Other Feedback" so other members can easily see that you have feedback from other sites also.

How do you check these raitings have been acuired in a professional manner? For all we know people could now start selling rep on other forums / sites to gain noteriety on epicnpc? I know i am playing the devils advocat but thruth be told i believe this can turn up wrong.

Feedbacks still have to be approved by me before they appear on someone's account. I check the members account here on EpicNPC and look at the account from the site they're importing from. If I think anything fishy is going on, I'll ask the user for more info to make sure everything is legit.

As for the user having fake feedback on other sites and importing it here, there's not much I can do to determine if it's fake or not. The sites themselves need to monitor their members feedback, so with this system there is a trust factor in that we're trusting these sites are properly monitoring their own members.

Can i ask if there is a indicator this rep is from another site? If not i would advice at adding something like this. So people know the rep is from site x or y. If not i hold epicnpc responsible for allowing fake rep. I agree the sites themself need to keep it clean but if you import it that is your problem aswell.

Yes the feedback imported is separate from feedback earned on EpicNPC

Profile area in posts has 2 feedback scores now:
EpicNPC Feedback:
Other Feedback:

Feedback page
You can see the feedback imported is separate and it tells you what site it's from.

As i wrote earlier it was a great idea and I'm glad you implemented it. However, what does "Feedback can only be imported once for each site" mean ? Does it mean that, if I update it today when I have x feedback on a specific website, i will never be able to update it again ? ( for example when i will have x + 50 feedback on that site )

This is the big downside of the system, though I'm aware it would require way too much time to manually update and approve every user's feedback, each time he wants a refresh. However, thought about it and wanted to propose you two alternatives:

1.Make it automatic and free, based on ranks. For example, only verifid users and higher ranks can update their feedback from other websites automatically. I know it is susceptible to fraud, but by limiting it to Verified users, professional sellers and highers ranks, you already add a layer of security, as it is less probable than a professional seller would ever fake his "other feedback" and risk having it's account banned, compared to a newly registered and unverified user
2.Make it manual, but to require Epic Credits, every time an user wants to update his feedback from another website. This way, it you'll cover your efforts and we'll still be able to update our feedback, as many times as we want, as long as we pay for it. It's a win-win situation.

It is already free and anyone who has upgraded to EpicMember or higher can use it.

The system is meant for people who don't have an EpicNPC account, but have feedback on one of the other sites. One of the biggest barriers of entry in starting over on a new site is the fact you have no feedback. This system removes barrier by allowing new members to import their feedback.

EpicNPC members who also have accounts on other sites don't really need to import their feedback. More feedback is always good, but at some points it really don't make a difference anymore. Are you less likely to make a deal with someone that has 20 feedback compared to 50 or 100? Probably not, 20 feedback is pretty good and you can be confident that the person isn't a scammer.

So there's really no reason to update feedback and that's why it wasn't added.

I talked with PA and they said they would allow us to do it, however I have not heard back from on actually getting it implemented, but it should be added within a few weeks.

The import tool needs to be updated for a few sites, most likely for OC also. When a website make any changes to their registration process, it breaks our import tool, so we have to make an update for that site.

We're a little backlogged with updates, so this should be working again by mid-Feb.

No they will never be supported.

Can't transfer my rating from Ownedcore. Help?

OC, Ebay and Epvp all have issues with the import. An update has to be made to fix these sites. Our development queue is a little behind, but this should be fixed in the next 2-3 weeks.

I wasn't able to replicate the error. When I try, it works for me.

Please make sure the username, password and PIN are all correct.

When you get the PIN, do not use it on the *** website. Use the PIN on our Import page.

It's like eBay but for digital vendors, each vendor can setup his store it's a very nice platform
