What to do if you don't hear back from the leveler?

Hi,

Guys, I need a little help. I paid Mattman59 for a 1-70 leveling and all was going well until the toon hit lvl31. Then, the toon stopped leveling and I haven't heard back from him in the last 7 days. Contacted him via email, AIM, PM, nothing...

Got pretty bad experiences in the past so to be safe I filed a claim with Paypal (Paypal put a hold on the seller funds if there's still something while the claim is open). I posted on the PWL thread saying that I would cancel the claim immediately if I hear back from him.

Is that the right thing to do? Is that too drastic? Do I need to report this to TW for the moment?

Got an answer from Mattman59, he's going through something hard so and his message was pretty rude but well I understand that the claim was maybe a bit rushed so I cancelled it.

wait to see

personally, if the seller has a decent amount of reputation on the board here (you be the judge of what is decent), i tend to give them the benefit of the doubt. after all, they have worked hard to establish themselves as a reputable member and wish their reputation to remain this way.

for example, i worked with sprintPL a couple months ago right around when the China SiCuan earthquake struck. thus, there were obvious logistical problems dealing with the powerleveling orders such as power outages, internet stability, infrastructure repair and aftershock warnings.

it is obvious that under these real life circumstances that the order would not be completed in time. so just relax, send the person in question an email and they will get back to you when they have the time or refund you : )

that being said, if after extended periods of time you receive no response, post here in the neutral fashion like you have done and it will get sorted one way or another : )

i commend you on your cool head.

Agree with boneshaman, I saw the thread which you posted on and decided to lock it until this is resolved. Unfortunately He hasn't logged into the site for 6 days now, so he cannot defend himself in his thread. He does have solid rep, so he should be given the benefit of the doubt for the time being. Once he has returned and this is cleared up, his power leveling thread will be re-opened and business will continue as usual. Good call on canceling the paypal charge back, its best just to give people time, however frustrating it can be.
Hope this sorts itself out soon, I am sure it will.

Watch out I'm 90% sure PayPal will not allow you to re-open a claim on that transaction. If he does decide to pull your strings again, you might be screwed.

I'm in the same boat as well except the account he was botting for me got banned. I've been waiting patiently on AIM for him to log on and give me some sort of sign of life but I never catch him on. I have also posted in his thread and asked for him to contact me (my account has been banned since the beginning of the month and not hearing anything from him for this long is pretty unsettling).

I'll keep this thread bookmarked and see what happens.

if your account has been banned, i doubt there is anything the leveler / botter can do to make it up to you besides offering a partial refund of the incompleted levelers / honor you paid for.

after all, the work was done and it you ever get your account unbanned, it is still done work sitting there. in the meanwhile, try and get your account back independently. for more information on how to do this, you can contact me if you wish.

if he does not log on or talk to you, then you can assume that he has left you alone and decided to cut his losses. sorry for you loss. maybe you should compile a scammer report.

Well, looks like he run away. After multiples email I've got no answer even if in is last message he said he would refund me.

How do we report a scam when the seller is trustwho verified?
