Official Suggestion thread - help make EpicNPC a better marketplace

Not Recently Bumped
IDK if that's only me but this new mobile look is kinda problematic... that info sign feeling like it taking something, wouldn't it be better to just add there pfp? And just this info thing combine into it...

Also I would suggest to increase the pfp size also if possible user name and actually whole bar (pfp/name/feedback/stars) also i think it will be much better if there will be any possibilities to see account badges and user title...

Also threads are too much close to the each other and sometimes you can't even realize which one is which... Yes there are some customization but still threads need to be separated somehow from each other... Maybe with shades? Or with lightning/coloring effects (you can add it in the shop maybe?)...

Also thread title colors still only 2 options? Is there any chances to make more possibilities? I think it will interest more people especially now when we have almost no limitations of posting... Some lightning effects will make it much cooler ( something shining/moving/shading rgb color effects and so on ) sorry I can't explain them with words 🥲🥲 but if you will be interesting maybe i can show you...

For mobile instead of showing an avatar image, we decided to use an info icon because we wanted to make it obvious that clicking it would display more information. With an avatar, I think a lot less people would realize it contains more information about the seller and thread.

For desktop we opted for the avatar because using a mouse is easier than your finger. You can simply hover over the avatar and the popup box will appear, so it doesn't need to be as obvious. For mobile, you have to click it with your finger so it needed to stand out more.

Badges display when you click the info icon. Some members have 5 badges, so to display all of them would take up too much space. New members also wouldn't know what they meant anyway without clicking each one. In the profile box we can make the badges much larger which makes it easier to click with your finger to read what they are.

'User title' is not consider important information. Members can have custom titles and many opt for weird or long titles, while some have borderline false claims about themselves. To display this information as if it were important would be careless and a waste of valuable space.

There's a line in-between each listings to separate them, so I'm not sure how there could be problem where you can't tell where one ends and the next begins.

We do not plan to add more colors or effects. There's currently 3 options.

- green title (optional glow)
- red title (optional glow)
- row highlight

Overall we want there to be some uniformity to the listings, so adding more colors or effects would make it look unprofessional and spammy.

Thanks for the explanation got your point in all of this things, but still about spacings, from old look yes the lines was very easy to see, but now it is kinda "blurred" for the eyes, mostly when you scrolling/searching for something... it is hard sometimes to recognize gaps (for the desctop view as well... maybe it's just me 😂)

And about colors, I got your point that you want to keep threads more simple and professional look, but not even possible to add 1 color? Maybe Purple 🟣, it is nice color and I think it will also match to the website look (especially dark mods)... I do not think if that harm overall looking and make it spammy...

We use to have other colours but it was eventually removed as the forum look too chaotic and came across like a giant rainbow. It was way to lit up and hard to read.

Hey, first of all thanks for the new autobump manager and the message on closed threads, these additions are great, especially the bump manager.

Now, I would like to ask, could you add a gold/item forum for diablo 4? it will have tradeable gold, it is uncertain how valuable it will be and if its worth to have its own forum, however there is a chance that it will have decent value, there are already markets about it, I think for a big game like d4, it's probably better to give it a unique forum, it will also help others who are looking to sell it to purchase sticky threads who are separated from the boosting ones.

These are the only tradable items in D4. I think the only thing of value will be the Gems, but maybe future updates will allow more trading.
  • Normal, Magic and rare items
  • Elixirs
  • Gems
  • Gold
An items trading section has been added.

It's interesting that you think that the game will not have a worthy gold market, I guess you have a personal experience with the game or an info from somewhere about this. On this game the value of gold is not generated from the items you can buy with it although those are considerable too, the value comes mostly from upgrades and other gold sinks, I think that's the way it is on lost ark and lost ark gold is one of the best markets, nevertheless, it's impossible to say how much you will spend on gold sinks.

gold can be posted in the item section. I played D2 and D3 (at the launch) and I remember always having a ton of gold. Even with the gold sinks, I never ran out. Maybe that changed in later updates of D3 and in Immortal.

Suggestion

Would it be possible adding a reaction bar to private messages? It might seem like a small thing, but it can be incredibly useful. Plus, I have a feeling our forum users would like it too.

The reaction bar would allow users to quickly and easily express their feelings or thoughts about a message without having to type out a response. Instead, they could choose from a range of fun emojis or icons to show their reaction. It's a simple addition, but it can make conversations more engaging and enjoyable.

My suggestion is quite simple, add some bright themes, because my first impression on this marketplace was lacking with the UI theme

About the trading system so far it's pretty good, Add news about new games that will be released in the future , if necessary (Because there is always a question as to whether this game will be in demand in buying and selling) - This is also one of the options for managing epicnpc discord, something interesting will come later

For new updates uploading/image attachments, I think it's lacking, because it prioritizes simplicity rather than making it look attractive (So it takes time to get used to it )

We announce and add new games here every Wed. Requests for games can also be posted here. You can click the "Watch" button to get notified anytime this thread is updated.
https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/game-section-request-added-every-wednesday.588322/page-18

We have a few variation on the theme. Setting are in the footer on the left side. Although the color changes are not drastic. We do not plan on having a light version due to the fact we don't want to maintain two different themes. We have a small dev team so we're trying to keep the theme simple.

Do you have any suggestions for the updated image upload system? It has all the same functionally as before, however I thought it might be easier if the images defaulted to the attachment thumbs. This way one you upload the images, you don't have to do anything else. However if you want to insert the images full size to your post, that option still remains.

I want to suggest about filtering, like which one is the hottest & which one is trending

Because a new game that is trending doesn't necessarily deserve to be called the hottest ( Consider a game that is under 2000+ threads, it's not the hottest, but it should be trending )

This influence of trending games has swallowed up the attention of popular games that have been survived for a long time, whether it's more than 1 year.

it's great if there are large transactions in it, because large transactions are the main goal of the marketplace, But what if the average of transaction is like no more than 10usd, not even can use tradeguardian.

So this filteration should be split into 2 parts.

Banned - scam - https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/genr-is-a-scammer.2661834/
Not sure if this would be possible but maybe a database to match emails/info of potential scammers/ban evaders possiby

suggestion to increase special symbols limit from 7 to at least 9, in Topic titles, if possible please

7 is not enough when you trying to make informative title and due to total length limit you need to shorten words with symbols like:
$
,
-

&
and so on

Feature Request: EpicNPC Credits Gift

Use Case: Sometimes my clients don’t have the payment method that I offer. I prefer to sell them using EpicNPC Credits. Since the Transfer Credits feature is not available and there are no plans to bring it back, why not add a GIFT feature that allows members to buy credits from one user and transfer them to another? This will support EpicNPC and save us money in fees for both buyers and sellers.

Will there ever be a special badge for people who can be trusted for installment payments?

This may be difficult to implement, but I have received 2 installment requests from buyers, the first buyer's transaction was successful & everything was paid off, the second buyer was also successful in the second payment, waiting for the third (last) payment in early August

The installment system that I do has a low level of risk, because the game has several different bind/linked login accounts ( In the agreement, the seller hold 1 full access login account & the buyer also hold 1 full access too, If the payment is paid off, full login access held by the seller is given to the buyer)

However, this system cannot be implemented if the game login system only uses a username & password because the risk is very high , so at least the buyer must have a special badge (installment payment), if it is confirmed that the installment transaction was successful by tradeguardian. Of course this transaction is risky for the first time, so it is recommended only for account that have a different login, but that's when the buyer receives a special badge The rule limit can be removed, whether it's at a certain level of transaction amount (For example, there are 3 levels: bronze, silver, gold ) Each step has different rules

It looks complicated, but at least installment payments are always used in terms of buying and selling, whether in real life (but at least the rules are also different because this is virtual trading, which has a high risk because we can't catch the fraudsters)

So hopefully this can be implemented, thank you.

That would be too complicated to implement. I'm not sure how we can claim a brand new member with no prior feedback could be "trusted" for installment payments and be accurate about it.

Currently we have a Trusted badge that requires Verification, 50+ feedback and an active account for 1 year. However that's normally obtained by long term sellers, not buyers.

I'm sorry, that does not seem like a feature we could add.

Agree with that, it's too complicated, hopefully there is a way out to simplify this method, Because installment payments can shorten the estimated time for an account to be sold, it's really helpful for accounts over 500+ usd

For the 50+ feedback badge, the case is different, because someone can easily get the badge with a small transaction amount, even the point of responsibility is different

However the installment trust badge is a buyer's achievement, because they have a high responsibility for paying accounts/items at the time they have to be paid

I agree the point of the problem is how to trust a new user if he/she is positioned as the buyer, but at least a short condition is needed, For example, identity verification is required & have tradeguardian transaction in 5 times if the transaction is more than 200 usd or 10 transactions if it has been more than 100 usd

Installment payments require high responsibility towards the buyer, so there must be certain criteria that must be met

Regarding the risk of failure, fraud or loopholes in this method, the agreement of both parties between the seller and the buyer is also required

Maybe if it's evaluated at this time it's too sudden, but I hope that in the future there will be leeway for implementing this kind of method.

I think the main challenge here is the vast majority of sales on EpicNPC are one off transactions, not instalments (even for higher end products and services). The platform is just not set up for that kind of business. While you can still conduct that type of trading here, I would recommend looking at alternative options if you are experiencing issues with payments, or relook at how you are vetting clients.

Payment for one transaction goes well if the budget capacity is indeed likely under 300 usd, but the installments also prove the amount of the total amount paid, That is, if the buyer has no experience at all in paying installments, it is difficult to judge that he has a high responsibility when paying on the specified date.

Sometimes people forget to pay, even though they are able to pay, Installments that have a high responsibility cannot be equated with a one-time payment transaction, because it is difficult to assess whether they are reliable.

Each series has it's own section. All 'Black Ops' games are in one section, all 'Modern Warfare' games are in another and so on. There's a lot of categories because COD has a lot of different series, many one-offs.

Can you create subforums for these:

Pokemon TCG Live - Boosting / Card Codes / Accounts , the Pokemon TCG Online that you have now was discontinued and completely replaced by Pokemon TCG Live and you can no longer trade cards, so you may as well remove that forum.

MTG Arena - Coaching forum

Arma 3 - Currency forum (Name it Altis Life Server Money)

Just saying, the diablo 4 gold forum that I suggested before was a success, it turned out that gold has insane demand on diablo 4.

We always appreciate suggestions from members on how to improve a section, so thank you. :)

We'll update the Pokemon section.
MTG Arena already has a boosting section. We'll add filters and include coaching
Arma 3 is a dead section. I renamed the section to Altis Life Server Money.

Arma 3 is a dead section. I renamed the section to Altis Life Server Money.

Not sure if it's dead, I had some demand from there. Changing the name might make it less searchable because I guess most buyers will include arma 3 in the search query, altis life is a server mode within the official arma 3 (can't access it without it) where trading currency is possible and has some demand, it's like naming the wow section Hardcore gold without WoW, also there are tons of stuff associated with arma 3 like keys, some other modes where boosting might be possible, it is dead because there aren't any sellers to answer the demand but we will see, I test it atm.

If possible at least, add Arma 3 Infront of the altis life money, like Arma 3 Altis Life Server Money.

Currently it's only possible to filter by last reply, and creation date. Would be great to be able to filter by views and replies
This could display threads that are years old or inactive, so it's usage would be very limited to buyers. Usually sells ask for these types of options so they can keep on eye on their competition. There are currently no built in options for us to simply enable this type of sort option, so this would require development. Due to the limited usefulness, we do not plan to add this feature. Sorry.
