Would buying a genshin account result in a ban to my original account?

I've been playing genshin impact for a while now and I've been wanting to get another account just for the fun of it
I've been thinking of buying one but I heard it can get you banned
Is it possible that my original account may also get banned? or is it just the account i've purchased?

The chances to get banned buying an account are relatively low. It can happen that the owner of the account you are buying did a big no no and now is passing down that already flagged account to you. But such an event is rather extremely rare, especially with mobile games, except when said person chargesback ingame purchases.

Your original account most likely won’t be affected. There is barely an instance known to me where they checked IPs and then ban accounts related to that. At least for Genshin Impact that is.
