All right so before people jump ahead I wanted to say that I took full precautions just in case I was going to get scammed (took pics of receipts, IP address, account id, etc)
I'll tell you how I got scammed and why I wanted to sell my account. So I wanted to sell my account because my computer's GPU broke and as you all know covid-19 has become a big problem (I hope everyone is safe and sound) You are probably like "Ask you're parents" The reason I did not because it is my problem and I bought it with my own money as well. Asking my parents for money would just be irrelevant and I also want FAMILY purchases to be used carefully because of this worldwide pandemic. And so I decided to sell my epic games account
with over $100 spent on and it has at least 30-40 games. Before we negotiated I took precautions ( I've been scammed in the past to ;( ) So I had learned my lesson to not be so naive. I decided to take some pictures of my receipts my oldest ones, the newest ones, and also when my account was created. It's a good thing I did haha.
All right now I'll tell you how I got scammed. This guy was a huge "Seller" as he stated and of course, I told him to give me proof and he did. It was until after I got scammed that I realized it was fake. He had said he wanted access to my EMAIL (LIKE WHAT!?) and I knew that things were going to go downhill if I said something wrong so I decided to go along with it. He had then stated that afterward, we had decided to negotiate. I put a fairly cheap price on it too. He said for me to send the info and that was a bit sus to me. (Hence why I took precautions) and I sent him the details. Afterward, he said okay and said that he'll send me the money...and he never did.
MORAL OF THE STORY: DON'T BE SO NAIVE!
(I am currently working on getting my account and Gmail back)
