I've recently put my account for sale on this forum here:
http://www.epicnpc.com/threads/6328...rgency-l4-d2-payday2-amp-dlc-rust-portal2-ksp
Somebody contacted me using the Skype name: john.mikrow1. He offered me $600 for my steam account that is worth $970. I thought this was a GREAT deal, but it didn't turn out that way. He told me that he was going to send me a "non-refundable" gift on paypal for $600 and it turned out to be an invoice that looked really convincing.
The part in yellow made it LOOK convincing BUT IT'S JUST A NOTE FROM BUYER. He wasn't finished after he got my steam account. He then told me that he "accidentally" gave me $700 so he then demanded that I give him $100 back.
I'm not THAT stupid, so i told him too wait until I actually received $700. He told me to pay it to this email: [email protected]. I looked up the email after I realized how stupid I'd been and this is what I found:
Somebody else had been scammed just like how I had! except they had expected it! Please, anybody that is planning on selling there account PLEASE be aware of scammers like this man. Or you'll end up with NO money and NO steam account. like me.
I don't mind not being able to use this account, I AM mad that some scum bag does though.
After a while I opened a support ticket to steam.I'm not sure they'll be much help since it is a violation of there terms and conditions.
Don't be harsh I'm a paypal noob.
