I was contacted by SafeTradeMMO after he saw my post. He wanted to buy all 300k of what I put in the thread. He asked me if I could sell him my guild bank. I didn't want to do that. He then said that was fine, he had another seller. I said okay, thanks anyways. He then messages me back (on aim) saying the other seller fell through. He then said he would buy 100k and I could trade it to him face to face. He said his IP wasn't Chinese so I wouldn't get banned.
I go through with the ordeal. I give him the 100k. Apparently he is selling the gold to another guy as soon as I give it to him. He says once he gets payed, I will get payed. He trades it off to some level one (after I take him to org on my 2-seater mount). Then takes him 15 or so mins to say anything back to me. He then says, okay sorry for your wait. He says it will be a bank transfer and will take 2-3 days. Then he sends me a copy/paste of what he sent via PayPal.
It gave the right amount of money, but the incorrect name. He was like is everything straight? I said... no I have received nothing and that is not my name. He then starts going on a tangent on how he was so sorry and that he sent the money to the wrong person. He said luckily the person was on and issued a refund but it will take 2-3 days for him to receive it because it was a bank transfer.
He said he would give me positive feedback and get in touch with the admins. He told me he would make sure I get my money and would keep in contact with me. It has been two days now and he has not said one word to me. I sent him a PM today on the forums and his excuse was all of his accounts were hacked.
This is not my problem, this is his problem. If this is true (which I know it isn't) he would be responsible enough not to get a keylogger. I am giving him negative feedback for this reason as well as my loss of 100,000 gold on WoW
I told him I was going to make a scam thread for not keeping in touch with me. This was his response.
"Hey there just got this message, i dont know who you are, or what business you thought we had, my comptuer was compromised and i have not had access to paypal, email, aim, mmobay,facebook, etc... i have notified the mods and they are doing all they can to resolve any issue that my account was involved in."
