Protection against scammer who retrieve their Overwatch Accounts

Hello everyone!

I signed up at this forum because I wanted to buy an Overwatch Account. Well unfortunately I got scammed...

I bought a Battle.net Account which had Overwatch on it. Payed for it via middleman and got the Account Data. I changed all the account information right away, email Password and security question (I got the security question from the seller aswell). Then I was able to play for a few days.

Then all of a sudden I could not log in anymore. I tried to retrieve my password but got the message that the email Adress does not exist. So as it turned out the seller was somehow able to retrieve the Account, probably by giving blizzard some proof that he originaly bought the games for that account.


What can I do against this Method? Or have I just done something wrong?

Banned - Selling battle.net games for 3$ and charges back the payments therefore removing the games from library. Proof provided by a victim.

Well, but even that wont protect me in case "trusted" people try to retriece their account in a few months. The question actually was ment more in the way, that I wanted to know if everyone is able to retrieve their overwatch account? Is the same thing possible with Origin Accounts?

It's very hard to protect account recalls.
When purchasing an account, you are basically purchasing information. Information which the seller will always know and be able to use to recover the account.
You just have to accept that risk when buying accounts online. It can be minimized by buying from trusted people, since the risk of recall is much lower and they might compensate you in case of a recall (for resold accounts).

Cases where trusted people recall their accounts after a few months are rare.
