Admin already stated that he is against discord and using discord for the website purpose. There is a really small chance that something will change with that in the future

kind request to increase sticky threads number to 4 instead of 3, please.

Also, don't ban discord.. it will make interactions in this marketplace plunge by a lot..
not ideal to say it but look at mpgh marketplace when they decided to ban all external messaging apps

Discord will not be banned, don’t worry. ;)

There's 2 options.

By default is shows the threads in order of last activity. The bump time for each thread.

In the sidebar there's filter option to sort by 'newest thread' if you want to see the newest created threads instead.

@EpicNPC Something i find annoying is having to open each thread individually, then wait it to load and bump. It would be so much easier if there was a option to put all threads in some kind of a folder, or simply having an ability to tick them, and then 1 click bump all threads.

This is how i'm bumping my threads currently:

I usually open each thread individually, and bump buying ones first so the selling ones are at the top.

My idea:

boom, thougths?

At one point have more than double of this to bump and even being rate blocked due to the system mistakenly thought that it was a bot since it is being bump way too fast at once.

Gave up after a few months to do it consistently, 3 times a day and whats more, you need to refresh everything after 5/6 bumps since the webpage will expire.

I would also love this feature to be added but I highly doubt, after all it will reduce the profit gain from selling auto thread bump.

You can already do that.

Use this link:
https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/thread-bump?bumpThreadId=

append your thread ID at the end, like this https://www.epicnpc.com/threads/thread-bump?bumpThreadId=594427 (example)

Now when you open that link, it will instantly bump the thread with the given ID. Put these links into a bookmark folder and when you click the folder it will bump all threads.
Keep in mind that if you have too many, you might get blocked by the firewall. I've used it with 15 threads without issues but didn't do more.

Actually a good tip, thanks, will use that for sure if my idea doesnt get implemented. My only issue with that is that i still have to manually open the threads (yeah im lazy, so what). Good stuff nonetheless, kudos :D

This should have its own thread because its really good to know

One thing that I dont find optimal is that the requirements for the trusted badge are bound to the "quantity" of feedbacks (50+ positive feedbacks with 100% rating) while the "quality" (item value) has no influence at all.

Wouldnt it be possible to add the "quality" aspect through the trade guardian database? Every successfull trade done through trade guardian has information about the buyer/seller and the item value.

The requirement could then, for example, be changed to "50+ positive feedbacks with 100% rating OR X successfull trades through trade guardian amounting to a total of at least X USD".

That way, someone with 50x5 USD trades wouldnt automatically appear more trusted than someone with 15x500 USD trades.

That's a good idea, but for most feedback we do not know the item value, so there's no way for us to check this.

Thats why I thought that it should be based on the trade guardian history.

The information is reliable and it cant be abused because only the middleman decides if the trade was successfull.

Imo, its better than nothing. Maybe it even encourages more people to use trade guardian.

I think if you phrase it this way, in other word, it can be "bought".

Imagine A making a deal with B (both coming from the same person) just for the sake of hitting price quota limit, whatever the amount is, the cost of the trusted badge is just simply = middleman fee.

Having an account with just one deal history or maybe one day or week old being classified as "trusted" might be an issue and could be easily used like an exit scam or just one big deal which easily cover the cost of middleman fee he invested at first.

Which is why the price limit shouldnt be the sole requirement. As long as there are other requirements like in the example I made, I dont think it will be easy to abuse.

Honestly, I think the system is fine as is, it doesn’t need to be complicated. The only thing I would add is the requirement of being an EpicNPC Upgraded Member + Verified for over a year, (just add the paid element to make it more secure) since Verification is free now, and keep the other requirements the same. The fact of the matter is Trusted sellers statistically are just that, so I don’t feel we need to add a bunch of extra layers to this when there is no issue with the current system. Also adding a $ value would limit most sellers here, since they don’t use TG, but that does not make them any less reputable. If anything, TG feedback is insignificant unless the feedback is aged, since the Middlemen is policing the entire trade, so there is no trust built here between the buyer or seller when payments or products aren’t being handed off first.

Furthermore, we have no way of backtracking deals, so it wouldn’t be fair to just base it off TG, as it could be somthing that is earned simply off value alone, which is not great. The only way I see this really working is if you can enter the $ value of a service or product in the feedback, and have it implemented across the bored. Maybe it could even require upload a picture of transfer, but even then, the system could be abused if it’s just based on $ value, there would need to be some balance between feedbacks and what was paid, along with the current requirements.

Sticky Thread Pricing rework based on the popularity/visitor of that specific game/forum board.

The original price always start at $5 and the sticky price will always bump up whenever that specific game is hot and the forum have more visitor, it is all good for this part.

However, I would hope that there is a system to reduce the sticky price when the game/forum is cooling down ... Do not have to be instant but some sort of algorithm that auto reduce the sticky price if either less visitor count of simply no one is purchasing the slot...

For example "Dragalia Lost" the sticky price is $50 during its peak and staying the same for years despite the playerbase is decreasing and the forum clearly have lesser visitor as time goes by and in the end, the game shut down months ago but the sticky price somehow still remain at $50.

So I think it is better to reduce the price if no one is buying the spot instead of holding the peak price, if price keep on decreasing to the point that people start buying it or even start outbiding it, then it could raise back.

Yes, we have mechanism to reduce price as well, but it's a one-time price reduction.

For example, let's say a game is fading and sticky threads have all expired. After a certain amount of time the price for that section will be reduced between 30-50%. However if no one purchases any sticky threads, the price will not reduce a second time so it will remain at that price. However, if someone does purchase a sticky, it expires and there's no new purchases again, the price can be reduced a second time.

Prices will also not reduce below their minimum amount based on the amount of threads/posts in a section. Categories start at $5 because that's the price for sections with no activity. However if a section has 5k, 10k, 50k posts, they will not reduce to $5, there's a minimum value set which could be $10, $20, $30, ect.

If there's a section with a high price and low activity, you can also report it and request the price lowered. We get these type of requests once in a while and will lower price if we see the game is no longer as popular as it once was.

When we create a thread there are screenshots we add to attachments and I witnessed someone downloaded screenshots from thread and scammed a person by decieving him that he has the account,

My suggestion is the screenshots we upload to our threads should be go through some little process by adding on center transparent epicnpc symbol or thread's url or seller's ID not sure really designers can work on it but It would have been really amazing protecting feature.

Please rework the reputation system to make it easier... I've lost so many +reps due to people not being able to figure out how to use the feedback system and end up with a vouch on my threads.. Make it dummy proof please

The upcoming TG update will have a purchase/sales history page. On this page it will show the feedback status for each transaction, whether you have given feedback and if you received feedback. It will also include a link so you can easily give the user feedback.

However phone verification will still be required.

Not sure if this has already been suggested, but opening a Fifa 23 Accounts section would probably be a good idea, there's a big market for it every year, and it would also help me sell my accounts on this game. :)

Suggestion

Hey Mike,

Is there any possibility of adding a new login feature to the website? E.g. - Login via QR code as discord have it. I don't know if its implementable since dc is an application and we are using web browsers but in my opinion, it is a very useful and time-saving feature.

We started work on it yesterday.

It will work like this.

1. A member will have to login to Epicnpc.com via mobile phone as normal. Either on the website or Android app.
2. If they want to login on another device there will be a QR code on the login page.
3. On their phone, in the setting area, there will be a new option to 'scan QR code' they'll have to click.
4. Once they scan this code on their phone it will detected the login on the 2nd device and ask for permission to log them in.
- If the user clicks 'allow' they will automatically be logged in on the 2nd device.

I believe this is how Discord's QR login works. ETA is sometime next week.

Awesome news, thanks!

That section is not active enough to split it. I'm not sure why there wasn't an 'account' filter, but I've added it so accounts can be easier to find.

If it gets more active, we can then split it.

Can you make a Trading prefix on wow classic gold section please, there is only buying and selling, because there are variety of servers we are also trading between realms

is it possible to add thread filter with username? instead of copy link one by one to customer, I would like to just ask them to filter with my username to find all my active post/threads on the subforum

trying by giving them to my recent post on profile, but it's not as organize like the thread filter feature

No, sorry, that's not possible. You can link them to your profile page and tell them to use the "Find all threads" to get a list of all your sale threads. However you can't send them a link to that because it's a search generated at the time it's clicked.
