New Thread Listing Design!

Not a fan of this new interface. While it looks more clean, as others already pointed out, it's way too clean. The fact that you can't distinguish the threads between boosting/selling/buying makes it way more confusing than before.

Agree. It's really confusing now.

This entire thread was particularly frustrating to read. I absolutely agree with many of the points here. The new UI is terrible and even as a buyer (which I am very often), it isn't appealing at all.

However, what is particularly frustrating above all is the admin's decision to ignore everybody's criticisms here in lieu of a buyer's experience when the admin is most likely not a buyer themselves.

The old design may have looked a little cluttered, sure, but it offered plenty of valuable information. The "Buying" and "Selling" tags were useful for me while I was scrolling through the forum list. I could see what was for sale or what it was that people wanted. The fact that both of the tags were in different colors made it easier on the eyes. Not to mention, I liked to sort by "Bought" and "Sold" because sometimes those threads would contain valuable information and help me gauge the price of what I'm buying or selling.

As others have said, there's a lot of dead space in the middle of the forum list. I personally think the text being so close to the left margin is incredibly visually unappealing, even on my phone, and it feels particularly empty. The lack of colors (besides the colored threads themselves) from the absence of the "Buying" and "Selling" tags, as well as the avatars being moved to the right side, is very unaesthetic.

And if you are going to argue that buyers can add "WTB" to their threads, then consider making thread lengths longer and with fewer limitations. You're making users waste an extra three letters in their titles.

I still don't know who decided that tags, views, creation dates, and last replies were considered "not so useful information", but I and many other people seem to think differently. If you think I am wrong, then perhaps you should consider hosting a poll so that even lurkers who don't wish to post their opinion can have a say in which design they prefer.

Please don't handwave these opinion posts away and decide what you think is best for the "buyer experience" on your own. Even if I end up being horribly wrong and people think otherwise, at least make a proper effort to listen to the loyal users that use EpicNPC regularly.

Most importantly, I daresay many of the buyers on EpicNPC are lurkers. A large number of them probably don't even have an EpicNPC account, or if they do, they are only using it to buy one or two things once in a blue moon. They're not the ones using your forum the most. It's the sellers. They are the ones spending money on thread upgrades like auto-bumping, stickies, thread glows, ads, etc. They are the ones spending time dolling up their threads and making sure it's presentable to the buyers. They are the ones actually USING the forum the most.

EDIT: I would like to acknowledge that I do see [Sold] and [Bought] tags on threads, so it is my fault for assuming they were gone like the other tags. I still do think they would look better like how it was in the old UI though.

You've just said everything I come here to write after few days with new UI. It's just plain bad compared to the old one.

would be nice if the feedback was on the left side instead of right

also maybe a community poll to see which prefer which? I would vote old format

new format;
- looks dull and plain , doesn't look satisifying or pleasant to look at
- the buy or sell on the left side tag made it look better
- having reply section / comment section show up when someone added a feedback or made a new comment was nice to have because usually I post like completed orders pictures on the thread and it shows up to date of threads that are active , now you need to click on the thread to look instead of seeing it from the outside
U are putting sellers on 2nd place, behind buyers. Thats not good, sellers are ones who are bringing business to website, not buyers, sellers purchasing credits and spending on thread perks. You should listen to people who are actually bringing traffic and money to the website, i am not saying buyers are not important, they are, but i belive 1% of buyers is spending 200$ per month on thread perks/credits. The other 99% are sellers. This is just one of the last couple of changes which is against sellers.

From adding a warning that gold sold on epicnpc is botted, giving extra benefits to sellers who are from trustapp approved countries, auto bump change and even terms for hand leveling. None of last changes was accepted with smile from sellers on this page.

These points are 100% valid in my opinion and I strongly suggest conducting some sort of a voting/poll so that the community can decide whether to stick with the old UI or the new one.

Guys, the design seems okay. But for me is missing an important function, I can not now see how many hits my lot) Can you please add this?

I do really like how sleek it now looks. But a lot of important information is indeed missing (tags, view count and more).
I fully support this man.
I hope the site administration will see our request and add this feature.

We added color indicators to the left side of threads for buying, selling and trading.

Green = selling
Blue = buying
Trading = yellow
none selected = gray

As previously mentioned, the view count will be added in the future, but inside the thread, not on the thread list page.

Hmm... it would have been more convenient if it had been seen like before. But in any case, thank you for adding inside the lot.

I guess there's really no winning on this one.

I see that on PC, if you hover over a thread, it'll show which tag it is (buying, selling, sold, bought, etc.), but there's no similar indicator on mobile. While it isn't difficult to memorize what each color means, especially for regular EpicNPC users, I don't think this is very friendly for new or infrequent users. Unfortunately, I don't have any suggestions to remedy this, but could you consider adding something that'll make it immediately obvious for new/infrequent users and lurkers?

This. When you know colours, it's really nice way to mark things, but... How new users are going to understand this? If I opened this forum for first time, it'll be just colorful noise especially alongside colours and glow for topic titles.

Maybe vertical tags if horizontal ones were too big?

do you have a date when the changes are being made ?
went live yesterday

ahh I thought last bump activity and views was being brought back but its only inside the thread
that doesnt change much to be honest

I had to put [selling] tag in my thread titles because I think its still looks pretty bad without it even though there is a indicator color

Those will still show when hovering over the threads on non touchscreen devices. It's not possible to apply it with touch devices without it clicking the thread link

Just add blue letter B or green letter S in front of thread title. It would be much better and easily understandable compared to those colors and that hoover thing.. And it wont take up much space

I'm sure you have noticed a new look for threads when browsing around the site. The change was made to improve the user experience on both mobile and desktop.

We have removed a lot of not so useful information like views, replies, creation date and last reply in an effort to declutter the display. This creates more room so we can focus on the more important data like feedback, seller registration date, and the item listed for sale. It will also stop members from thread view count boosting as views are no longer being used.

Compared to the previous messy mobile design, this new design is cleaner making for a much improved mobile experience.

For non-sale sections we'll still be using the classic thread design.

Please let us know your thoughts on the new design. Any suggestions would be welcomed and you can also report any bugs here.
I disagree with you on this update as the buyer chooses to buy something. The first attraction is The number of people in line for a particular store, for example, the number of views of a post. When I'm shopping on epicnpc, I look for the person with the highest number of views on a post and go into the details of that post. so i decided to buy

Please restore the feature of showing total replies before,

This has a huge impact after the ui design was changed, because the gimmick of replies is also important

Even a thread like open boosting is going to be in a pretty bad situation right now.

We are saving the limited space on the thread list page for future updates so we can add more useful information. The number of replies to a thread is not very useful. Often a very larger percentage of the replies in a thread are from the seller replying to comments. In many instances the seller makes up 30-40% of all the replies.

We are working an various other updates that will be coming in the near future. Those updates will bring with it new information that we will want to display, so at this time we are saving the space we have so we have room to display more information information.

Would like to suggest dev to stick with showing the badge and status of sellers on main thread. I know we can hover the mouse on seller's name in order for that to be shown, but it would help a lot for buyers to find sellers with rep in a glance instead of hovering their names 1 by 1

Also the feedback status at the far right kinda confusing. Instead of showing how many feedbacks the seller got, it feels like it's showing how many likes the thread has

lack of buy/sell/trade tags is really annoying and should be back, rest is ok

@EpicNPC will this color chart be added on PC as well, currently only seeing this above the forums on mobile?

On desktop if you hover over a thread it says buying, selling or trading, so we didn't think the legend was needed.

I'm not sure why this is needed when 80%-90% of threads are selling. You should assume selling unless you see blue or yellow.

We'll be making another update to the thread list design in 1-2 weeks, until then, we do not plan on making further changes.

Because the layout is **** - there's nothing more to it.

Here's what you SHOULD have done. Launch a new test layout - test it with users, ask for feedback and then implement it. Instead you chose to pull something down on all of us based on what you think we might want, or what you guys need to manage this place.

You didn't even give a heads up. It was like: OH YEAH WE DOING THIS NOW.
Do we need to remind you that this is userdriven. Without us there is no site.

No need to be so harsh to admin. I appreciate the hardwork and im sure you guys did this out of passion and love for this website. I personally love the new look, but like some people said, there are old features that should be kept. I hope admin would take the suggestions into account and work something on it

Yes, please keep comments respectful guys, regardless of your opinions.

Good afternoon, dear development team & everyone!
It seems that the time has come for me to express my opinion on the new design:

Yes, it has become more concise, and we certainly like it, but the complete absence of metrics not only prevents new sellers from developing on the forum, it does not give anyone a chance. At the moment, there are only 2 ways to promote your services:

1. Pinned post in the thread.
2. Banners that are not very effective because they are either ignored or blocked with Adblock

In this regard, I would like to propose to return at least the metric of the number of views of the threads, which will give new users more involvement in the threads of new sellers, as well as increase the chance of exploring old thread also.

We would like to offer the function of "labels" to the topic title blocks themselves (for example, that the service provides "Stream")
This would help make the titles of the threads more concise, and would also have a positive effect on topic traffic....

P.S. Please add USDT or another stable coins in crypto payment method! <3

@EpicNPC I don't if you updated something recently but "Toogle BB Code" option is not working properly for Google Chrome and Mozilla browsers at the moment.
Only staff can view this content.

It should have seen like the image below when you click "Toggle BB Code" but it compress the size of the edit box:
