Dispute and Feedback Dispute Changes
Epicnpc will no longer review disputes if one of these three Trade Guardian options is not used. There will be 2 types of disputes that can be opened.

1. Trade Guardian dispute - If TG was used, we will fully investigate as normal.
2. Scam Review - If TG was not used, only an account review will be conducted on the accused's account. We will check if they're a known scammer, previously banned member or have been accused of scams on other sites. They will then either be banned or not. An investigation into the dispute will not be conducted.

Is this even serious?
A dude scams you 25$ easy peasy and he wont even get banned?
@EpicNPC I understand the amount of scam disputes, and the incentive to use TG are both good reasons to enable this rule, but people can scam without getting banned now for real?
There's nothing to investigate, the user plain scammed and he can walk free?
 
Yes, those are the rules.

If someone creates a dispute and posts overwhelming evidence of a scam, you can still ban that user. If there's not enough evidence and you required more, then we don't investigate until TG was used.

An account review should still be conducted on the accused's account. If you find nothing, you can tell the victim to give negative feedback.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to respectfully request that you re-review a thread that was recently closed on your platform. In this thread, there is a clear GIF conversation that demonstrates a clear case of scamming on the part of the seller. The GIF clearly shows that there was no intent on the seller's part to make a genuine sale, and instead, they received money and provided a false response before ghosting me.

I understand that moderating a platform can be a challenging task, and I am grateful for the work that you do to maintain a safe and fair environment for all users. However, in this instance, I believe that the thread was closed prematurely and that it contains important evidence of a scam.

I would be grateful if you could take a look at the thread again and consider reopening it. Thank you for your time and consideration.
 
I'm sorry, we would not investigate that.

1. It's on Discord. We stopped investigating discord scams Nov 2019.
2. I don't know who you're talking to on Discord.
3. There's no proof of payment or what was purchased. Since we wouldn't accept the discord chat as evidence, there's basically no evidence submitted.
4. Trade Guardian was not used and as of Nov 2022, we would not investigate this, sorry.

You can give the user negative feedback. Sorry.

I understand that the situation you have described falls outside of the scope of our current investigation policies. I respectfully disagree with the rule, but as the owner of the platform, your decision is final. I will make sure to give the user negative feedback.
