Describe how you were scammed:

Ok, this was the most confusing experience I have ever had. So let me explain. Basically, I sold my USED Swtor account to MdjellN for $200 USD and gave a 24 hour grace period because the whole SWTOR account banning for trading was an unanswered question. The trick was to NOT CHANGE ANY information on the SWTOR account including: email(also login), password, and personal information. So, this sale mainly took place 8/14/11 and because the game is roughly 30 gigs, I gave him another 12 hours to sort out everything. Everything seemed to work out perfectly until recently, about 8/29/11 where I had received an email regarding my EA account(because the SWTOR account was still linked under my email address). So, I came to find out that someone(FLC) changed the email from my original email and the SWTOR/EA original email which was sa****[email protected] to sa****[email protected].

At first I didn't care at all, and thought that MdjellN had changed the email because he just wanted to officially make the account his. Especially because it had already been more than 2.5 weeks. The problem is, I play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 on my account, which is linked to EA, so when I went to login it didn't let me. I was completely confused, because I am very confused as to how EA does their account organization. But, I ended up contacting MdjellN on aim and inquired about the whole email change and if I could somehow still play BC2. I come to find out that apparently, he never changed the email address. I then told him that the email address was changed and to try to log into SWTOR to see if he was able too. After he tried, it looked like he wasn't able to and said so. So, at this point I had came to the conclusion that MDjellN had gotten hacked or someone had found out the SWTOR information. So, with this knowledge I told him that I would contact EA and get everything sorted out. After 3 hours of phone conversations and a lot of confusion I was able to restore everything back to default with my old email address and a password that I changed (which foolishly was the same password I use for my main email address which is sa****[email protected] which is also the EA/SWTOR login). I had just done that at the time and thought nothing of it, and I gave MDjellN all of the information again with the updated password VIA EMAIL and this is basically exactly how everything took place:

After that, I thought everything was back to normal and everything was sorted out.

The next day I receive:

At the end of the day, basically I was unsuccessful in getting the SWTOR account unbanned. KEEP IN MIND, THIS WHOLE TIME I am under the impression that he was hacked or somehow someone got the information and changed everything.

Now, I am introduced to MMOBay user FLC in a very odd way. I was watching some tv shows when I look at my email address and find this email that I apparently sent to myself:

http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/2545/63361243.png

At this point, I was confused out of my mind. But, then it all clicked. Remember how I said I changed my EA account password to the same one as my main email without thinking to much of it? FLC sent me an email through my own email address which was, although very stupid on my part, completely invaded my privacy and is unacceptabel. Not only that, in order to gather proof that he was "apparently" scammed by MdjellN he forwarded all of the above emails to his own email address as proof.

Now, after all this happened everything made sense and how the email address was changed and how the account really wasn't hacked. I come to find out, MDjellN tried selling the account to FLC and claimed that it was UNUSED. http://vbforums.mmobay.net/star-war...s-items-credits/433518-unused-swtor-beta.html

Now, everything makes sense to me but this had been so difficult and confusing that I am completely out of words. At this time, my $200, which MDjellN had given me through a paypal echeck has not been recalled and I'm not sure it will be.

FLC is apparently out $300 because the account was banned after he had bought the account and sent the money through Western Union.

Now, I know this must be confusing as all hell but please keep in mind that I was kept on the outside the entire time. I was under the impression and MDjellN had kept aiding my belief in that the account was hacked. I am still confused as to why he didn't tell me he wanted to sell the account... if he did, all would be fine and none of this would have happened.

I thought I'd make this thread to clear things up and I will edit parts that don't make sense because it is currently 3 a.m.

Thank You.

He is 100% scamming people selling the exact same account or possibly same 2 accounts.

Its a real shame mmobay has someone like this as a trusted user... Really makes you think.

Someone showed me the exact same email you got before I canceled my money order with him. I can prolly guess your exact account name you purchased and I never even received account info from him.. I know because two people purchased the exact same account from him and both happened to PM me after they saw my thread that i was doing business with him telling me its a scam. Both telling they payed, got the login info, started to patch, then the password was changed and got that "email". in that email the login name was exactly the same for both people..

What a joke.
