We made a transaction over a month ago that went horribly awry. I traded to him a 70 lock and he traded a 70 pally to me. The trade went perfectly smooth.
Literally, 2 hours later, while I am still logged on the paladin, I am d/c'ed. I attempt to relogin and it says that the account has been closed.
I immediately IM him, and he says that the warlock got closed as well.
I go to my email to check what blizzard has to say, but lo and behold, I did not get an email. He on the other hand claimed to have gotten one. I ask him to forward it to me, but he never does. I ask him to do this everyday for a week, but he dodges me.
Eventually he talks and says, "oh it was a temporary ban" that's why you can see the lock still on armory.
Me, i'm stuck with the permanently banned paladin. I am clueless as to how he is left with a perfectly ban-free account, while I'm [censored] over. Whatever, I say, this is the risk for trading accounts. So I cut my losses. I move on.
Not literally 15 minutes ago, he IM's me. Mind you, we havent talked since the incident. He tells me,
"oh man remember that lock you traded for my pally?"
"yes the pally that was perma-banned"
"yea, well listen, they banned the lock a week ago. can i get the last name and sq/a to the account? i forgot it"
(^idiot)
Here's the kicker though, I recently acquired a paladin TODAY and transferred to the server that the LOCK was on. And when i log on , i do a "/who (lock's name)" to see if he's on. and LOOKIE HERE, he's right [censored] there. Pretty much the EXACT same gear from before i traded him. The xfer is down for a while longer, so i KNOW he didnt xfer it off.
So I ask the lock, hey is this ChrisXVile? He says, no, he just traded me this lock.
heh.
good try, scammer.
your call mods. PM me if you want any specifics, I can give you the names of the lock/my new pally so you can verify on armory and such.
