First time MM User Questions

I'm extremely new to this sort of thing, what are the signs of scammers and is it possible to get scammed through MM?

Couldn't the seller lie about receiving funds, if not how is the transaction verified?

Since with fortnite you have to sell the email with the account, couldn't the original owner of the email regain access through support, thus scamming the buyer even if the mm process went over smoothly?

1) someone can always recover their account unfortunately.
2) use only onsite middleman through the the trade guardian system. A lot of scammers use fake middleman inchat programs

If you use the integrated middleman system (https://www.epicnpc.com/tradeguardian.php) your chances of getting scammed are reduced significantly.
I'd suggest using Tradeguardian for any trade you do with unverified / not trusted members

Should I just focus on not buying from anyone with no/low rep? Also, some people don't want to trade with me because I have no rep, what do you think would be the easiest way to gain rep safely?

Upgrading is a good first step to gaining the communities trust, which you have already done.

Usually the person with less feedback goes first, however if you both have little or no feedback, then I recommend using our Trade Guardian middleman system.
