@geartips13 contacted me to potentially purchase my bitcoin. Now the reason why I'm reaching out on here is because I believe that @geartips13 is trying to get people to go offsite to scam them. The chat is provided. He was boasting about this website / instagram and how many followers/clients he had. I said I wouldn't go first due to him being a new user. He stated the following "
Me and my team do this and do you maybe have telegram, email, or you can visit instagram and we can speak there so we can do exchange?
For BTC , i see you need 80$, we can give you on paypal for today's rate, 85.4$ if you are interested." Which makes no sense as I said that I was happy doing 1:1 which make this user suspicious. The worst part about it after refusing he wouldn't go first was the fact that he refused to use a middleman which is pretty sad.
Just wanted to make people aware that leaving the site means you most likely are going to get ripped off. Unless they have rep else where or on site.
If he is legit let's use a middleman or trade guardian, stop making excuses and be a real person.
If you think Im in the wrong for looking out for others then that's your opinion but there is too many scammers and if you can't use the resources provided then don't bother trading at all. I just want to sell my btc and move on... simple.
