Another Scam Bust & "Introducing the Jackals"

Alright fellas here's another one. First, let me introduce to you some people I call "<span style="color: #CC0000">The Jackals</span>". Well actually, I can't introduce them to you for security reasons, but let me tell you about them. The Jackals are a bunch of cold-hearted evil geniuses that love nothing more but revenge. Their identities are kept completely secret. They've helped me out in the past by busting scammers with me here and there. They have a 100% success rate. I can't tell you what it is that they do exactly, but it's effective. They get rather creative with their punishments. They have absolutely NO affiliation with this website, and I am their only contact. If it weren't for the Jackals, I wouldn't be able to bust these scammers.

Anyways, onto the latest scam bust. A short while ago d4nky came to me, asking me for help because he was scammed. D4nky's a decent guy so I decided to help him out.

He purchased a battlechest + transfer for a user who goes by "buy2k2". Buy2k2 then gave him an account in exchange for the battlechest + transfer. Shortly after, the account he gave was recalled and buy2k2 disappeared. D4nky made a thread, telling the public that buy2k2 scammed him. Buy2k2 later responded with a "catch me if you can" attitude, not taking this seriously.

Buy2k2 IMed me this morning, here are some highlights of the conversation -

As you can see, he's acting pretty cocky right now, but that's expected. All of the dumb ones come off cocky.

Then he thought I was full of crap. He took what I said for granted, and decided to tell me to go screw myself. Then he blocked me. Sweet. Way to go genius.

Great. I had basically given this guy the option to pay d4nky back and leave it as is, but he refused to cooperate. This is where the Jackals come in. I gave the jackals what they needed and sent them running. For confidentiality purposes I cannot fully disclose exactly what they were going to do, but let's just say it was effective. I know it was effective because later in the evening I got this IM. (And they had just BEGUN phase 1 of their 3-phase plan).

Blah Blah Blah. He even begins IMing other MD staff, freaking out. He offers to make a public apology and give d4nky an account worth more than he owed. Had he just offered to give d4nky his money back, he would have been able to avoid all of this. He gave d4nky his account and made his apology on the original thread.

Here's his public apology, he wrote it completely by himself (he doesn't have a webcam but whatever) -

To be honest. This is was too harsh for 60$ but a great success nonetheless ive seen what they can do and honestly i will think twice before trying this again. The Jackals are a great group if only this was used on some of the bigger scammers of markee. I am only being positive because i am greatful that kath basically spared me from the Jackals and gave me a chance to confess. only advice i have to scammers who get caught, work it out, saying [censored] will just result in your utter misery.. trust me on that. they had me going for 1 hour 1 HOUR! and i was wishing i hadnt done it.. I am not at liberty to discloes any information about what happened i am respecting Kath's wishes so just take this warning ..dont do what i did
 
Buy2k2 messaged me very worried about proceedings last night. My only response to him was the he could of prevented it had he come clean earlier. Kathunx and the jackals are very talented at getting end results and it was a full gone conclusion that once they were brought in the end result would have been this. Like others have said, respect buy2k for his apology and let this be another warning to scammers who think they can get away with it, use this as an example. It won't be tolerated on markee and your world will be turned into HELL until you come clean and repay what you own, lets just say buy2k really had his world turned upside down. Great job as usual kath.

Own a scammer at his own game, whats wrong with that? They upset people and screw them over, they themselves suffer in return. Had a bad experience like this before have we?
 
JohnSmith they basically make their life hell, hacking their computers, their paypals, their emails, emailing friends and family with spam, in buy2k2's case they photoshopped him in porn or some crap, sent it to all his friends, called his mom and said he was dead, the list goes on and on. Not to mention half of this [censored] is illegal. Fraud anyone?

Stop accusing people of not knowing what they do, when you yourself don't know what they do. Who are you? Who said they hack people's paypals?

No, not pointless at all.

Kathunx won't reveal his guys methods for security reasons. All you need to know is that the said scammer was forced into returning what he owed, and made an apology. Scammers are the lowest of the low and scamming won't be tolerated here, this is a clear example of a cocky know it all scammer turned into an apologetic, rejuvenated person who won't be scamming again after a few methods were used on him.
 
Nope, sorry. Sounds to me like you condone scamming and stealing, I don't, therefore scammers get exactly what they deserve IMO. Don't steal from people? Then you don't end up getting owned. Sounds like a fair deal to me. These guys aren't targeting innocent law abiding citizens, they are targeting scamming thieves. Also, watch your language, you are breaking the rules.
 
d4nky, an admin will confirm if it is him via an IP check in their own time. Everyone is entitled to post their opinions here, even if his does show to be in favor of scammers. Someone with that attitude won't last very long among the community. This thread is a good example of how scammers are dealt with, therefore I see no reason for anyone to lock it at the moment because of one persons opinion. If he continues to display foul language he will be banned for breaking rules. Glad to see you were reimbursed for your loss btw

If you really believe the Jackals excist, and that they actually can do something, they cannot.

I'll wake all you guys up a bit :
First of all ; I'm not a scammer, I just say you guys better don't get an erection if you hear the word jackals.

So, scammers commit a cyber crime, they take somebody elses account.

"The Jackals" Will take care of this and will let the original owner get the account back.

My guess is that they Track IP's and would call him/family (if he was idiot enouf to give a phone number ((I'm making this post to wake you up, real good scammers will NEVER give a phone number, if they did, they are just some kiddies :))

Now, actually "The Jackals" commit a worse crime : Braking of the privacy, stalk the victims (Call them whole the time I guess), Threatning

All THIS crimes are real life crime's and exceed the virtual world. This makes "The Jackals" for the police alot worse criminals then the actual scammer.

To the video messages : All this people are kids... The real scammers made paypals on proxy's, they browse markeedragon with proxy's, they give fake phone numbers... I hope you don't think the jackals are internet geniuses, they just track IP's and call the persons on their phone number, use their name to find phone numbers of family and girldfriends, THAT is what they do.

My guess its just some kind of group of kids, at the good side nonetheless. But still

I agree, all these 15 year old scammers deserve whatever they get. They all love thinking how easy it was to scam that other kid for everything he owned till he finds out that hes in trouble and wants an easy way out. I'm glad you guys are screwing with them as much as they do to other people.

However with all the info on the web there is nowadays. I hate knowing people with any semblance of skill can track you down and make your life a pain in the [censored]. It's simple these days and at least its being put to use somewhat.

I'm going to make a new post about some good news that's come into play. For the mean time, I'll just make a quick response to everything you said.

The Jackals don't find people. I shouldn't have named them that now that I think about it. All they do is hide behind proxies just like you and use whatever information they have on a person to persuade them to give what they stole back to the people they stole it from. Scammers are thieves, nothing more. They are allowed to roam free because the actual LAW isn't involved in this market whatsoever. All I'm trying to do is make people give back what they stole. If you find this to be a bad thing, then your moral compass needs some serious adjustments.

In reference to this being illegal, hardly. As I do agree harassment can be illegal, I clear everything that I personally do with a lawyer so that I am in no legal trouble. On top of that, I don't condone illegal activities myself. I don't believe in hacking someone's computer or anything like that. I don't believe in harassing someone over the phone either. What THEY do is up to them. I can't control what they do with what I give them, so this does not make me an accomplice.

People don't take account stealing seriously because it's a virtual good, but I suggest YOU wake up and realize that this "virtual good" has monetary value like every thing else. When you steal someone's $300 account, you steal $300 from them. The fact that you're complaining about what's being done to these internet thieves makes me worry about your thought process. Trust me, I've spoken with many of you over at [censored], contributors and legendary members alike, most of you are missing the point entirely.

i personally know a close friend who was hit by the jackals. I was actually there during the beginning of his scam. I warned him not to do what he was doing but he didnt listen to me. The next day he was crying while he told me what happened. Lets put it this way, If you choose to make others life miserable by scamming them than the jackals will give you what you deserve. Like kath said i am not at liberty to discuss the exact details of what happened but it wasnt pretty. In the end my friend ended up ridding himself of those jackals by doing the right thing and returning what he stole from the person he scammed. Word of advice. DONT MESS WITH THE JACKALS!!!
 
First, I do not want to protect the "poor" scammers. I just find it quite funny people are scared of the "Jackals", while they cannot do anything if they keep themself at the laws (Aka no constant phone calling, this stays spam(no idea how you call it))

I'm happy the guy gave the account back, I just wanna say you better don't go up in the "Jackals" because they will get revenge. Scammers also have websites(I better don't say the name), they can also start some kind of team to scam the guys that scam bust :P (What a sentence)

The laws in your country are different than the laws over here, I am sure. Besides unless we know exactly what it is that the "Jackals" do or perform to get these accounts back, all we are doing is simply drawing inferences on things that most of us know nothing about. Unless you are one of the Jackals, Kath, d4nky, or one of the thieves they have hit or someone that was there, you have no idea what you are talking about. Most people criticizing are saying that they are breaking the law, hacking, harassing, lol, most of you, if not all of you have no clue as to how they operate or what they do. So next time any of you decide to write something along the lines of what they are doing is illegal, think for a minute in regards whether you have some actual knowledge that their behavior is illegal, or are you just drawing on rumors.
 
Although I had some doubts about these Jackals at first, I now believe them and respect them completely.

The Jackals have essentially caused the largest WoW account scamming website to cower in fear. An admin of the site even made an announcement saying that the site members shouldn't scam high rep Markee members or TWV, or else they may face the Jackals.
