This past spring a played a lot of Torchlight 2 with my brother, it's pretty good value for the money but you run out of things to do pretty quickly -- and there is only so many "random" maps you can grind before you get tired. I did get an engineer up to level 100, fully geared with tier gear and got a few alts up to level 40ish or so.

I've spent the last 5 or so months playing a lot of Guild Wars 2. It is also pretty good value for the money, especially if you like large PVP battles in the fantasy genre. It is around $30 and if you play on one of the tier 1 servers, WVW (world versus world) can be a lot of fun at times (though the long queue times can be annoying).
