When I first started, I had some experience playing moba games such as HoN and DoTA. I decided to try League of Legends and the learning curve wasn't as steep and it became very fun. Some people compare HoN and DoTA to LoL, but they're not really that similar in terms of playstyle.
It kept me occupied for a long period, so it's worth a try if you like MOBA games.

I'll have to say it's quite fun to play if you got some friends to play together with. If you play by yourself the community can be kinda difficult to deal with at times. But I guess any and all MMO have that kind of people in it. So, yeah. IMO you also need to invest some time to really be good at it. Can't just drop in, play a game, then not play it for another 2 or 3 days and expect to be a huge pro in it. But then again, same as with any MMO really.
My 2 cents.

like everyone said LoL is very much enjoyable to play with friends, you wont be able to improve much if you play it by yourself tbh.
although I wanna ask the other here, its been awhile since I last played this game. any updates you guys can give? I heard there is a new hero?

it's one of more competitive games out there, game mechanics are farily easy but still, with such a high playerbase it can get really tough, im often coming back to lol, the community can be pain, but at higher tiers of ranked games it gets easier.
league of legends is by far or should i say WAS by far the best game ive played in awhile. But with the season 4 changes I just don't like where the game is going and it makes it even harder for people just starting out. I guess the game takes fast reactions, a lot of strategy, precise decision making, and over-exception game mechanics and knowledge to even consider taking it seriously.
It's a great game, but right now they are fumbling on a few points. The preseason is going on too long without an announcement of the Season 4 start date. This is the first time they've done this, and I see it as them alienating their core player base.
I absolutely love it. Riot is an amazing company - one of the few that actually takes community feedback seriously. Obviously the gameplay is fantastic if you like MOBAs. Lots of ppl complain about toxic community - I think it's actually pretty great. Cjeck out LoL reddit and see how amazing it can truly be.
