if the new china regulation can not be applied to ID Card verification via automatic system. i wonder for those sellers or buyers who have verified mobile phone in Chinase. Epicnpc admin can try to verify ID Card manually for them by take a photo asking for 2 sides of ID card and ask them to take a selfie video of themselves holding ID Card in hand. hope this will help

This is not something we are willing to do. If these regulations eventually extend to HK, then we will no longer be able to support HK.

I cant use Malaysia ID for that as it can lead to many legal problems if it were leaked. Already summited but was declined this time as I don't have a physical copy.

Sadly this system doesn't allow me to use old expired driving license to verify. Malaysia government went into digital version for drivers license in 2023 and I cant use my Malaysia ID for that as its too risky. I could be in a whole lot of legal trouble here if my Malaysia ID is leaked. The rest of the info can be bought online on CTOS such as credit score, address, email, phone number, registered bank, etc. Now a days, can even borrow money from money lenders just with a Malaysia ID and signature is not required and my info can be bought easily online. Sadly I may not be able to re-verify for now since it cant accept my expired drivers license or my digital drivers license currently. Maybe will do so later on with other means when other options are available.

Our phone verification service checks the phone's number reputation, abuse, VOIP status, blacklists, ect.

If we start accepting Whatapps number, will they provide us with that data? I'm assuming no . That would allow scammers to add VOIP numbers to Whatapp, then use those numbers to create accounts here.

I really do think verification to create threads is a good thing, however Veriff is managed by AI which has no empathy on resolving issues.
1) It doesn't support strict/banned country like China and Russia.
2) It doesn't support all country ID with different language.
3) Doesn't support digital ID
4) Doesn't allow expired ID
Normally people will be able to have empathy in getting it safely the information needed to complete the verification. Also the few beginning of the threads, a lot of people are talking that Veriff doesn't have a solid reputation. What happens when those data is leaked? Who will be responsible? Normally it would be do it at your own risk, but the risk outweigh the pros. The most safest way to verify in my opinion would be drivers license as it has the least legal repercussions. At most you get a traffic fines for someone using stolen drivers license. However things such as national ID/passport can be used to do lots of illegal means such as opening bank account in a foreign country, use for shady legal scams, etc. Fake passport is sold easily on the blackmarket as long as they gotten hold of necessary information. I would much prefer if Epicnpc admin consider doing human to human verification in the future. What you need is to verify our ID, not getting hold of our legal documents. Even getting our expired ID would at least proof of our identification. Most ID would have our face and full name, even our old ID number is still traceable if brought to the authorities which is more than sufficient.

We have 250+ sellers from Indonesia, 50+ sellers each from Malaysia and Venezuela, already verified since the change using ID cards, drivers license and passports.

I'm sorry, but a lot of these complaints are people using fake IDs or someone else's ID and they can no longer pass the process or are scared they will get caught and banned.

There are some legit issues over IDs that cannot currently be accepted due to text in unsupported languages, but in most cases, there are alternative IDs that can be used from that country. Since adding support for Arabic language, support tickets have decreased 95% as most were related to that.

An announcement about the grace period will be posted soon that will provide more information for sellers that have not yet verified their account.

Starting today, EpicNPC will be requiring ID verification for anyone who wants to list items or services for sale, including "buying" threads. This is not something we wanted to do, but as VPNs and phone services are becoming more common we feel in order to protect members and the community we had to add this requirement.


Current Verified Members

• All members will be required to re-verify their accounts, so even if you have previously verified, you will have to redo the process.
• Current verified members will have 30 days to reverify their account. After that they will lose their Verified badge and the ability to create new threads.

Verification Process

• The process is similar to the current process. Full name, phone verification, ID scan and selfie will be required.
• Drivers license, passport, residence permit, or ID card can be used. We are not requesting SSN or any tax ID.
• The verification process is now automated which means members will not have to wait 24 hrs for their verifications to be reviewed. Normally it should take a few minutes.
