DISPUTE Information
######################
What is the dispute about?

I purchased a Steam account for the dbd cosmetics. Trade went through smoothly, I even left very positive feedback. In the morning my son went to log into the account, and the login email and info had been changed. I checked the email for the account, and at 3 AM my time, the email had been changed. Seller promptly deactivated his account and deleted all his posts.

Other proof:
Steam Email.jpg

This is a SS of the email from Steam showing that at 3 AM the email was changed. This was done by the seller, roughly 10 hours after the purchase.

The seller deactivated his account here on EpicNPC, deleted his thread, and deleted the message he had left in my wtb thread.

Account Recalls
######################
Most account recalls have little proof. To get more evidence, please open a support ticket to attempt to recover the account BEFORE opening a dispute thread.

Did the seller say he's the original owner? (provide proof) Yes, you can see him say so in his thread and also in the first screenshot under "chat logs" above.
What account information did the seller provide you at the time of sale? (ID, SQA, etc) Provided steam account info. Was all done through middle man, seen above.
How long did you have the account before it was recalled? Roughly 10 hours. This was a birthday gift for my son. He played for a bit before bed, and when he tried to log in in the morning, it had already been recalled.
If you have a support ticket about this recall, please post screenshots of it. Didn't go to support, spoke to middle man about this and he said not to worry about this step.

Based on what happened here, shown in the evidence above, its pretty clear that this individual was never interested in his reputation. Therefore, I think waiting around for a "dispute" to resolve anything is ultimately a waste of all of our time in this case.

I'll follow up with my bank and probably get reimbursed. Its not even about the money for me right now.

I'd like to leave a message here for anyone that is on the fence about buying an account like this: you need to understand that what you are "purchasing" will never, ever be yours. There is ZERO protection for a buyer in a transaction like this, because at any moment the original owner of the account can very easily take it back. You can read through this dispute section of the forum and find examples of this even 2 years later. You, as a buyer, NEED to understand this. When I came here, I didn't realize that this was so easy to do. It is clearly stated in the FAQ, so this website and its people are not to blame. This "market" though, is a house of cards. I'll say it again, no account that you buy here will ever be yours. Since buying and selling accounts isn't supported in most platforms TOS, they have no obligation to even consider your transaction either. You are literally paying whatever fee you choose to pay, to "rent" the account, and it could be 2 hours or 2 years, but at any given moment that account can be simply taken back, with ease, by the original owner.

One other thing I'll add. To xNeoTox, if you ever happen to come back here and read this. You knew that this was a birthday gift for a child. You understood this clearly, and I even told you how excited you had made him. The fact that you willingly and knowingly proceeded with your scam, and then took away a gift that was given to a kid, wasn't just insensitive or cold. It was cruel. You genuinely hurt him. I hope you understand this. What you did was cruel. I hope you have some semblance of decency in you to recognize this, and never ever do this again. Scam me, whatever. Take money, whatever. But to knowingly attack somebody's child by allowing them to receive a gift and then rip it out of their hands is a level that nobody should stoop to. If you have kids, you will understand this. I saw a smile turn into tears with my child, and that is much worse than whatever the monetary cost was.
