This is a long story, so prepare for the read.
I traded my MxO account to TheSkunkist for his 60 Rogue Account in WoW.
The trade went very smoothly, he said he did not have the SQ/A, but he seemed trustworthy and had quite a number of positive heres - so I gave him the benefit of the doubt, and traded without it.
I gave him my account and all security information for it, he gave me his username/pass and said he had the cdkey as well, which I never ended up receiving.
I played on the account that night with no problems, but the next day I received some ingame tells from a random person who apparently knew the account owner, telling me that the account had been purchased by him before and that it is being constantly recalled and sold over and over - the scam.

I immediatly emailed TheSkunkist and confronted him about the tells, he replyed through an email fast and assured me everything was fine and that this must of been a friend or cousin of his just joking around - and that if it wasn't, he said he would file a report to Blizzard about it, he sounded legit so I foolishly played further into his scam.
He kept assuring me he was the original owner and therefore nobody could recall it, including him as he'd said he'd forgotten his SQ/A. I ask him to email me the cdkey and he says he will but never does, I ask at least 4 times (over the course of the entire ordeal) and never recieve it.
I get curious and decide to check what the SQ is by going through the password recovery pages, and hmm....its "what is your high school?" , not something the original owner would forget, so is he scamming me or not the original owner? I intended to find out.
So, I leave it be and go to logon to the game later that day, and low and behold - the account is mysteriously banned.

My first thoughts are to just cut my losses and forget about it, so I responded in a few post on these forums.
He trys to respond to me on msn yesterday, I blocked him after telling him I had no more business to do with him, why would I want to listen to a liar try to save face?
Then I decide to check the account out today by using the Account Management website (because banned and closed accounts will have details as to why usually), and strangely enough it just gives me a wrong password error...
I try to login to the game, and I get the same thing, the account is no longer banned and now just has a different password. I had been successfully recall scammed, in a very very clever way I might add, as getting an account a temp ban and then recalling it is probably the lowest scam I've ever seen in WoW (and in all honesty, one of the smartest).
Don't deal with this fellow, its not worth your time.
And to TheSkunkist:
I will be reporting your account to Blizzard, unless you respond to me in an email within one day and return it - along with the cdkey and sq/a which you obviously DO have.
If I don't recieve your email within one day, returning the account to me, then I will be filing a report with Blizzard and submitting the multiple screenshots I have of ingame tells of people saying you've sold the account over and over, as well as the screenshots I took of our msn conversations and emails, I don't miss a beat.
So you can do the right thing, or kiss the account goodbye - your choice.
