Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: I posted a thread to sell my FN Bayonet Doppler and was contacted via skype by someone skype name "Vow of Silence" and skype user name broodboss.. I was not aware this was a name of a reputed seller on the site, and the buyer did not pretend to be him either. The deal was made that he would send me $500 paypal for the knife. He does a lot of things that make me think he is not a scammer, like negotiate the price, and request to record and screen shot the whole conversation. I suggested in the beginning that we get a middle men for both our sakes because I have little rep and neither does he. He said I could if I wanted, however no reason because he was paying first. This made sense to me. Anyways after talking he sends me what I thought was a paypal payment for $500. What he sent me was a paypal invoice for $500, and then immediately put the status to "paid" with a note that said "You have received a non-refundable payment using the PayPal business invoice system, the funds have been received but may take up to 24 hours to appear in your available PayPal balance." Not being familiar with the invoice process of paypal, I see "$500 invoice to my paypal e-mail marked as paid" and everything looks good to me. I trade him the knife, and as I am investigating closer I am realizing the payment has not gone into my account yet. I ask him about it, and as I am I figure out what is going on. He pretty much just says yes and blocks me on skype.
Other details / notes: I am in the process of getting information on him. Through this site I found his location info which led me to the part of Europe he is in as well as his ISP. I have contacted the ISP to report an abuse of one of their customers and am also prepared to go to the local authorities with the information at hand. I assume the ISP will require some sort of court order to release his information, and I am eager and willing to take it to that point. Any information on this individual would be greatly useful.
