I attempted to purchase something from the seller @DigitalFomo on the final fantasy 14 items forum. The seller backed out of the deal and no sale whatsoever was made. The seller has given me a negative feedback on my account and wrote a comment on my post telling people to not deal with me on discord (I am also a seller on this forum list selling the exact same item as they do).
The reason the seller did this was that I sent a private message of a screenshot of the page on PayPal where I was going to send the money. I did this to confirm that it was the correct amount of money, that it was the correct email address, and to confirm that we were currently talking on discord at the time. I know that discord scams are common so I try to keep a record of all chat messages on epicnpc to avoid that.
The seller asked me to remove the screenshot that contained their PayPal info but gave me very little time to do so before giving me negative feedback and posting a comment on my own sale thread telling people to avoid me on discord. I also don't see an option to remove the screenshot I included in the private message. The screenshot was sent through private messages and I see no reason why the seller would have a problem with that since all I was trying to do was confirm everything before I sent the payment.
This resulted in the seller leaving negative feedback on my account. The seller knew that I sell the exact same item as they do and has also left a comment on my own thread. DigitalFomo did not contact me about the items I sell through my listing and they have not purchased anything from me, I don't think they should have been allowed to comment on my thread when there were no purchases made.
