As a seller, is paypal really safe? Can't an ill intentioned buyer just charge back with their credit card or something like that? From what I've seen it's really that easy regardless of middle-man, he'll just do the charge back after a few days?
Why doesn't everyone use crypto instead? If paypal can be charged back, then what are some better payment methods?

Hey @konki,

I would recommend you give this a read, as it covers a lot on safe payment methods.

Thanks for the reply. It does help quite a lot but still doesn't address the question on some guy using F&F to buy your goods, can't he just chargeback the credit card itself weeks later and what could you do about that?

I wonder why won't everyone use crypto since there's no possibility for chargeback shananigans. Once the transaction is confirmed that's it. I guess that's more of a rant than a question lol

yes buyer could try to charge back, it can go either way. the problem is crypto is not safe for buyer. You have zero charge back abilities and no protection. While crypto is easier to get not everyone has it and theres charges to exchange. and its value is not constant. it can go up or down once you receive it.

I think the reason buyers use paypal only is that it's very fast to set up an account without complex processes or verification, the other platforms are massively better but they require verification. Surprisingly, crypto is very popular and lots of my buyers pay me with it, almost none use skrill or wise but many use crypto, I think some wallets do not require verification, some prefer to keep their info private which they can do with crypto, also crypto investing is a trend of this age. Some coins like USDT make it very easy to trade and control the value of your coin. It's certainly a viable payment method.
