Question about middleman/trade guardian

Hello I want to buy something but I've never used trade guardian, how does exactly work? For example do I have To deposit the money into the site or can I like transfer from PayPal? Because if I have to transfer to the site in form of credits it means that if the seller backs down my money is stuck on epicnpc?

Middleman services, you do not need to buy credits in order to do a middleman trade. Middlemans can take Paypal as payment.

Payment goes from buyer to seller directly, the MM doesn't hold the payment, only the item. The payment method depends on your agreement with the seller and what they can accept.

1. Seller provides the account to the MM
2. MM checks and secures it
3. Buyer pays the seller
4. Seller confirms receipt and buyer receives the account

If the seller bails out before handing the item, there's no penalty for cancelling so you won't lose anything.

When MM secures the account, can you confirm they secure any related email to the account as well ?

If they don't this opens up the buyer to be very vulnerable to seller reclaiming account via forgot password / take back account scams.

p.s. the graphic on the bottom of this page [ https://www.epicnpc.com/tradeguardian/ ] is a bit confusing as it says "Buyer confirms and releases payment to seller", which leads me to believe the buyer had a chance to review the account details before releasing payment.

The graphic is only for escrow transactions and not for MM transactions (and should probably be removed from the main page unless the escrow option is selected @EpicNPC )

Depending on the game, the MM will take the linked email account too and secure it as well. That's usually for platforms that limit or don't allow email changes. For those that allow it freely, the MM will usually just change the email to his own.

Personally I'd do it instantly.
There are multiple ways to do that and it depends on the middleman.
Some wait 7 days, some try to get it done as fast as possible.
Personally I'd take the money since I offer money hold to the vendor to ensure no chargebacks are possible, which results in safer transactions for you and instant cs:go trades.

Yes, but trades are double the work for our MM because they have to secure and transfer 2 accounts. The "value" is the combined price of both accounts when you're creating the TG transaction. A MM will cancel the transaction if they see a trade for 2 accounts is not valued correctly.

If you use personal MM option without escrow, it's usually a fast process. It always depends on both parties and when a MM is available(usually there's always a available one unless you want a specific MM which you also can choose a specific mm and wait until he's available), the mm will ask you to stay online during the process for a faster transaction. From my experience it takes from 10 to 20 minutes. But I never used MM with escrow so I can't tell you how long the process is with escrow. If you don't know the difference about personal middleman and escrow you can go to "Trade Guardian" on the upper menu section.

about 60-90 min is the average time from start to finish, but it depends on many factors and it could take longer. Sometimes someone goes offline or there's a delay in payment. If the game is not popular the MM might have to download and install it. Other times there's an issue with the transfer so there's lots of things that could delay it.

If you use our Trade Guardian services it depends on a buyer. TG secure and validate the item and then show it to buyer. Buyers confirm if everything is as advertised and he will send payment directly to you.

Only the seller can send an invite. Once the TG transaction is created, at the top are settings. There's a drop down menu the seller can use to select and invite a MM.

However that should only be used if the seller has spoken to the MM and they're ready to start. Otherwise leave it as default and the first available MM will claim.
