First off let me say I had an account on here for sale that I had access to and then it got taken over/back by whom I think are the people I've bought it from. Which was Gamepal/Global Accounts Inc. It showed up on a site a couple months ago too, with the same information as when I had bought it (the characters level, gear description, you name it..).
This is where it popped up: It's cached b/c it was sold already but, it's just showing that it was there. I didn't sell it off or anything, my account was taken over by the people that I bought it from- I'm fairly certain.

I've paid them through paypal for the account back in December of 2008 and I can't get Paypal to help me b/c of the time frame (it's been too long to dispute anything). The phone number they have listed on their paypal doesn't work anymore (it was disconnected or no longer in service) so now I'm wondering how I can get my money/account back. I've talked to the proper people at Funcom/AO and they require certain information that you'd only be able to get if you knew the previous owner- they now know the accounts changed hands so many times it's probably going to get banned.
I've never been in this situation before and I feel really cheated, is there anything I can do? The account was sold recently to someone (I logged in on another account and saw the person on the character that was mine).
I know there are a lot of bright/experienced people in here who've dealt with this thing before- if you could kindly extend your knowledge with me on how to rectify this matter, please do.
