FAKE mercurial003 impersonating EpicNPC Moderator
Just posting this here so this piece of trash doesn't get away with scamming anyone here ever again.
He will add you on discord and ask you to buy some amount of meseta, in broken English (of course lol), and he will ask you to trade your meseta BEFORE paying you (this should be the biggest red flag, never trade without payment first). And no I did not get scammed as I knew from the beginning he was a fake, I just wanted to play around with him a bit to see how far he would go ~ :giggle:

How to tell he's fake?
Sadly, discord does not do a good job making sure people can't make fake names, as you will see in this screenshot, the 'e' in his name is different than the real mercurial003.

If you don't trust me, if someone named mercurial003 adds you, copy and paste their name into a text comparison tool and type out mercurial003 on the other side, if they're the same its the real person.

Another easy tell is that the fake mercurial003 has Discord Nitro, and the real one does not have Discord Nitro. It's how, if you look at their profile, they will have the same number ID as the real mercurial003 as they need Nitro to change their discord ID to match the real mercurial003. (Note: you may not be able to see if they have nitro unless they have you as a friend)

Here you can see both mercurial003's in my DM list

I made a post about this a week ago and it got deleted. Great job on giving the community a chance to stay aware. My friend and several others got scammed out of lots of money which could have easily been avoided if you can call out a blatant scammer. I won't say any names, but not being able to say that someone is impersonating a trusted member? That makes no sense. I can understand not being allowed to call someone a scammer or anything else to hurt their reputation in a public forum, even though I disagree with it. But, to not be allowed to point out that a trusted member is being impersonated is straight up stupid and bad practice. Literally helping him by deleting anything suggesting this person is out there.

Yeah I'm just trying to keep other people aware, if this does get deleted, at least more people will now know hopefully. As a seller you really should never no matter what trade meseta before you get payment as there is no way to get your meseta back after you trade it away but, a buyer can always talk to paypal or their CC company to get a charge back if they get scammed.

Just wanna add this, idk but it seems this is the same guy that makes fake receipts, be careful on these IDs

and

. Bak#0349 was Navier#0349 something he changed his ID.
Here are my discord messages from the scammers. Make people aware of the fake receipts.

And another message history from Navier#0349 which is Bak#0349 (I knew he changed his ID because Navier#0349 was only on my blocked list and seen that changed his name to Bak)
This guy attacks me and refuses to give the transaction ID of the payment he sent to me because he literally asked for my paypal.me to see my full name and from there he made that fake receipt

Navier#0349 or Bak#0349 one who made fake receipts on Paypal
Made a video of this one because it's too long

NOTE/AWARENESS IN TRADING IN CASE WHERE BUYER SENDS THE PAYMENT FIRST:
1. EVERYTIME A PERSON SENDS YOU A PAYMENT IN PAYPAL, IT WILL INSTANTLY APPEAR ON YOUR ACTIVITY.
2. IF YOU'RE HAVING DOUBTS CONTACT PAYPAL AND GET THE TRANSACTION ID FOR THE TRACKING BEFORE RELEASING YOUR ITEM , CONFIRM IT FIRST BEFORE PROCEEDING.
3. DON'T GIVE PAYPAL.ME LINK to anyone because it will show your full name and possible fabricate a fake receipt payment.

Conclusion:
PAYPAL SAID IT ALL it was a fake receipt (this proof is from my friend that this Navier guy scammed 200m). This guy Navier proven as a scammer which claimed me as a scammer proving it as a false statement because I didn't receive the payment, none appear on my activity log in Paypal and he never provided and refused to give the transaction ID to trace it.
PAYPAL PROOF:
proof.jpg
"QUOTING: PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU'RE RECEIVING PAYMENTS, THE TRANSACTION WILL APPEAR INSTANTLY IN YOUR PAYPAL ACTIVITY LOG"
in my case when he said he sent the payment and provided me a screenshot of the receipt that he sent, it didn't appear on my activity log that means he is scamming and didn't send the payment.

Beware of his manipulations because he will constantly tell you that you are scamming him forcing you to give the meseta.

We delete the threads simply due to this not being the area it needs to be posted.

The best advice is to confirm who you are talking to by messaging the “repped member” on-site. That is the biggest issue users have is they want to deal through discord which is the worst thing to deal through due to how easy it is to impersonate someone as shown above. Most people scammed by this method don’t even open the users profile that was linked to them, if they had they would have seen his profile which goes indepth about how impersonations work: https://www.epicnpc.com/members/mercurial003.283226/

I will leave this post for 24 hours then it will be moved to off-site scammers.

Slow down with transactions, confirm who you speak too, if they claim they are repped make them have a conversation on here so you know for sure thats who you are speaking to. Anyone on discord can claim they are anyone else. Discord nitro allows you to change your username + # to anything. False characters are easy to use as well.
