Pro Sellers = Carte Blanche to Lie and Say anything they wish to get business here

So,

Yesterday I was looking to buy a little gold, getting back in to WoW to try out the new expansion and level of one of my toons.

So I go to look for good prices on Gold. I thought I had spotted it, here's a seller in the forum offering a Lowest Price Guaranteed, nice, can't go wrong here! http://www.epicnpc.com/threads/4105...nt-delivery-Epicnpc-verified-100-legit-seller (it's since been edited (7o clock today) to remove the lowest price guarantee)

So I spend some time digging, go to his site (which his post directs you to) and scour the site to find out how his low price guarantee works. I found the prices on his website are not even in the remote vicinity of being lowest price, so I figure it's fine, he's going to give me a big discount to keep to his advertisement.

I then que up for his live chat to get this figured out. When I finally start talking to him so I can place my 50k order he tells me that his lowest price is 90 cents per k unless I am doing a massive order then he can do as low as .85 if I'm spending a few hundred dollars. (WTF? That's not a low price guarantee, in fact he's more expensive that about 90% of online storefronts). Hell even wow2005.com sells for .69 - other large sellers on this forum doing my server for .60.

He tells me that's the lowest, they don't change prices... So what about that low price guarantee? Doesn't exist... He just wrote it in to the post to falsely attract more people to his website only to disappoint them when they get there.

I promptly leave him a negative feedback since he deceived me and I cancelled the transaction as a result. Legitimate reason to leave a bad feedback right? The guy lied to fool people in to wasting their time with him... he's dishonest...

Guess what? I get a message today that the feedback is removed because this guy is a pro seller and comparing him to other sellers is 'apples and oranges' according to Super Moderator Doomedtofail because Pro Sellers pass the gold around 4+ times, and false advertising is a common practice with them to drum up business.

What do you guys think about this?

You are not allowed to give feedback if no transaction had occurred. It has nothing to do with his rank. He did not scam or attempt to scam you, so you can't give him a negative feedback.

He is allowed to put ads in his thread like cheapest, lowest price etc. to attract customers, and the price doesn't need to meet those promises.

doomedtofail just did what he was supposed to do. You didn't make a transaction with him so a feedback wasn't even allowed in the first place. Period.

Logic, in theory a transaction was beeing made under false pretenses "lowest price guarantee". He decided to stop the transaction as he could not keep his promise for the lowest price. When you look at it logicly a feedback should have been allowed to warn people of bad advertisement.

Starting a transaction to then figure out they have mistakenly drawn you in with falls information then annulating that transaction should be sufficient for a comment. But then again that is my opinion.

Why would you even allow people spreading falls info. If that is the case i could say "ORDER WITH ME AND GET ONE GOLD BRACELET WITH EVERY TRANSACTION" and then just before the transaction say Oo sorry we don't do that anymore. "Seriously?"

Look i will defend what i said since it was said in private.
Opening party linked to the website seller a private seller/non website in this forum and tried to get him to match his price. That is what i said was apple and oranges. This was omitted from his statement here. He is the former owner of a website that is competition to this power seller so he should know the way pricing and advertising works and has prejudice due to this circumstance.

The lowest price claim is a marketing ploy used in all businesses to sway customers to them. I never said once that is was right to do so. But it was quite short of a scam.

Rules state a transaction must occur for feedback to be left. This is to prevent abuse of the feedback abuse. A transaction occurs when it is actually initiated for example one party sends money or account information or item. If transaction was counted at the start of conversation this forum would be littered with incorrect feedback. I am constantly removing feedback that people leave out of revenge for not getting accounts or items at a steal and used to force a transaction in their favor. If we allow this people will be forced to do transactions only to avoid negative feedbacks. You cannot muddy the line at which this threshold is set. Or there will be consequences everyday users do not notice but as mods/administrators we deal with constantly.

Negative Feedback is intended for scam related issues and other issues that arise that could have been avoidable like a force trade back or wanting to undo a trade that was done or selling/trading knowingly unsafe accounts, A neutral may have been appropriate in this case if he had paid the seller.
This has nothing to do with him being a power seller. this is applied the same when the person receiving the feedback has one post and is unverified

I agree with what you are saying doomed, if you allow all sorts of feedback it would not be reliable. But not allowing a feedback that clearly states "i did no transaction with this person because of falls information" should be allowed. People are seeing the pro sellers tag and a claim of cheapest price and will therefore stop looking. Abusing a system for your own benefit is pathetic and people should be warned. It is not because you pay 50$ you should be allowed to scam people in overpriced packages!

I could continue my logic but i noticed in the past opinions do not often go appreciated on this board. I therefore distanciate myself and my opinion once again from the so called "general public".
