Just a note to anyone who is selling accounts or who plans to sell an account. Im sure many others besides myself have been unfortunate enough to have someone re call a payment for an account you sold them. There is a Pre caution you can take through paypal.
First, only trade with people who are Paypal verified. Tw verified is also a plus, because you can match that with their paypal e mail address.
Second, Also take payment first and make sure when they send you the funds that in the Notes section that They type that they have received their goods from [your name]/[email address] and are 100% satisfied. Just like a contract basicly.

Now if someone tries to take their money back, and paypal runs an investigation, you will not lose all that money.

I have been using this method for months and have had no problems.

Ok and say i send someone money and they give me an account other then the one i paid for, Now that i have put it in the notes that i'm 100% satisfied when sending payment i get screwed?

This works and it could backfire, Either way buying/selling is always risky.

Thats why you have already looked at the account and made sure you are getting what you are paying for. Thats not going to happen every time though, unless you have a very good reputation. But for the legit seller, this is a great thing to do, and will save you a big headache if someone trys to re call on you.

Well say this scenario, i'll use Anarchy Online as an example since i don't play WoW.

Guy tells me he will sell me xxx Engineer account, Excepts paypal but i got to put in im 100% satisfied in the notes, Guy shows me the Engineer ingame.

I go to paypal and send the payment, I put im 100% satisfied in the notes, He sends me a bogus login/pw, Now what?

I can't dispute it cause i put in i'm 100% satisfied so now im out money, This indeed has it's pro's & cons but it's more open to people using it to scam money outta people knowing it can't be disputed.

Wrong no buyer/seller protection policy is offered for "intangible" goods. No investigation will take place. The process is automated and you will be required to show proof of delivery beyond i believe any transaction over 200-250$ no form of comment/chatlog/email constitutes as proof and the case will go in the favor of the buyer automatically. Stipulations being that the funds still exist in your paypal account at time of the dispute (paypal will cover their own [censored] first and since the scammer probably used a CC paypal knows the buyer can get a refund reguardless of their own impotent rulings) The only way to have any resemblance of safety when using paypal is to ship some form of package (original game box etc) via UPS or another delivery service that provides online tracking info AND signature confirmation of delivery. Without these steps taken any scammer that used a CC to pay will win by default EVERY time. Anyone who says anything different just wants you to feel safe so you are ripe for theft.

And thats why I for one will never use paypal. Its realy funny when the lock the money up for 40 days and collect intrest on it and then shaft you AGAIN with a fee to get the money out ...

They can lock the money up for 190 days with no appeal process or reason given. They reserve the right to freeze your funds for half a year AT any point in time for any reason (are not even legaly required to give one)

well I got scammed today. sold my wow account in the morning when I got home later that day Pay play had a freeze on the funds. I called pay pal and talked to them they told me that it would be hard for me to prove that the customer revived my info/account. I did print all the e-mails and I printed the entire AIM session where in there the person states he has access to the account. I have sent all this info to pay pal but I am not very hopeful at this point. anyone have other Ideas that I can try to help me win this. with pay pal?

Paypal has stolen one of my transactions funds. I sent him 150 USD for his rogue. Everything goes smoothly.. 3 days later hes on AIM saying that the money has gone and is being with held. None of us are scammers. Everything was fine until paypal took the money cause apparently something made them think i was a hacker.. [censored]? Now I have send ID, put in CC details and bank details. And I aint cause last time I bought something for 33 bucks they took 80 out of my bank account.

What should I do?

Verified means they have a bank account tied to the account (if i remember right) should say their status on the receipt for a transaction. Confirmed address means they have a CC on file that matches a their mailing address (maybe reversed)

Have him refund the amount of money which he can do even while its frozen. And then return his account.

That would be good. But I dont have the account. The only way round is by doing that?

If a paypal account is frozen unless its totally locked for fraud investigation you can still use the "refund" option to reverse a payment received. For example someone sends you funds then paypal freezes the payment before you can deposit it. You can still refund that payment to the sender.

Lets say i have a wow account for sale

A verified paypal user sends me $250 usd for it

I also a verfied paypal user recieves the $250 then sends him account info and confirms email change

next day the $250 is put on hold, and he has the account.

what can i do??

What exactly was the reason for the freeze? If it was for non-receipt of goods and he has a confirmed shipping address. Goto UPS mail him anything (postcard) get online tracking/delivery confirmation. Go to the dispute panal enter the online tracking number. If this is within 7 days of his claim and the claim is for non-receipt. You win

the claim was unaurthorized use.

im currently at this step

Ok hes claiming he never authorized the transaction because his CC was stolen or account hacked. Good thing is that paypal will so a little bit of looking usually before closing the case. But no there is nothing you can do to stop it.

Welcome to getting the shaft like they say their is very little you can do about it.

Paypal isnt doing anything. The sender of the money reported that he didnt authorize the transaction. Meaning his account was stolen and used without permission. He is at fault for this. That or the CC company reported the card stolen.
