MJ brought up the subject of providing semi-legal arbitration to the forums that would be legal binding. Basically members would sign a contract stating they would relinquish their rights to me and abide by the decision I make in their dispute. That contract would be semi-legally-binding. I say "semi" because the loser would still be able to disputed it in a court of law as I am not a legal lawyer.
Almost 2/3 of the members are international and about 25% of the disputes are against scammers who would never sign the contract.
Since this would be a legal document, I would have to record all disputes and have signed legal papers of all parties involved. Because of the extra paper work, I would charge a fee of $30-50 to cover the added time I would have to dedicate to these disputes.
My question is who thinks this is a good idea and who would realistically use this service.
Vote above.
