Hello guys.I have a few questions about chargebacks on paypal since my friend got a chargeback on paypal last night after he gave his DC Hook and now he cant do nothing about it since Steam no longer return stolen items. Can you tell me how to prevent it and what payment type is more safer to use(gift, goods or whatever)

Note:I always check if user is verified paypal user and i always ask them to send me a msg on email to make sure email is not stolen or something

Ty in advance )

Theres no guaranteed way to prevent chargebacks.
Gift is safer then goods and services, but you risk getting your paypal locked getting too many gift payments.
Paypal now has seller/buyer protections for digital purchases if sent as goods/services
If the person uses a credit card they will always be able to charge back and win. Plus then paypal charges $20 fee for credit card charge back investigation to you everytime, i just went through this.
Well also make them message you here and male sure they are repped.

PayPal protects buyers more than they do sellers. All they care about is THEIR money so they do not care if you lose YOUR money. Simple as that.

Idk what to say man.Their politics sux so much...Like you said, they protect more buyers than sellers...

For big transactions, request the buyer's drivers license or some form of identification to prevent unauthorized claims.
When they go to dispute, you have proof that they were the user of the Paypal account.
Just make sure the identification matches their paypal name ;)

GOODLUCK :D

Thx for your advice mate.I will try to use it in a bigger transactions so i can secure myself a lil bit.;)

The most hardcore method is to ask to take a picture with your skype name written on a piece of paper ;)

I've heard some of the sellers on epic require that before selling via paypal. If paypal customer support really cares about sellers this could be a big and actually save lots of money

I have found out ip address and persons information means absolutely nothing when fighting a credit card charge back. It proved it was authorized and paypal agreed that those ip's were his and the credit card still "won"

I don't remember exactly where, but I think I heard that PayPal doesn't want to mess with credit card companies/bank and sides with the victim 24/7. I can't count how many times I provided email logs, skype logs including the IP that matched the address on paypal and I still lost.

Let's just hope that Australian government makes bitcoin one of the official currencies and the rest of the world follows ;)
