OO Attempting to Recall - need WoW Acct Advice

MD Community. I'm asking for some help from a knowledgeable trader/admin. Here's my situation:

About a month ago I purchased a level 80 rogue off another buying/selling website from the OO. I talked to the guy over the phone, he gave me the armory link to his toon, and everything seemed good. I sent him $350 and he gave me the following:

- his ID scan (driver's license with pic and address)
- secret Q/A (it is correct)
- new email he changed the account to
- removed his Blizzard authenticator
- changed password

I started playing the rogue and gearing him up, and one day I try logging in and *poof* the login details I had created don't work. I emailed him to ask what was going on and he said he had no idea. So I called Blizzard and had them change the login info. They asked me for the name on the account and the secret question answer which obv. I had now. Again, I played for a few days but then the same thing happened. I called them again, but this time an authenticator had been added to the account. Well obviously I didn't have the serial code because it wasn't me putting it on the acct. - they requested an I.D. scan and they removed the authenticator and I changed the info again.

Not three days later I log in successfully but now the rogue isn't there. %^&$! So I petition a GM and they say they are investigating and that the rogue was moved to another Battle.net account secured with an authenticator. So I'm not sure what will happen. They say they will investigate and move the rogue to a totally new Battle.net account.

1)If Blizzard does get my rogue back like they say they are trying to do do I still run the risk of the OO doing what I did and getting the rogue back?

2) The OO claimed when I bought the account that he didn't have the original cd keys. If this is true then will this simply be a back-and-forth game until one of us gives up?...or if he really does have them will they simply rule in favor of him? (I have a strong suspicion that he doesn't have the CD keys.)

3) The OO moved the rogue to a new account like I mentioned. To do so he would have had to have the same first and last name on the new account since that's Blizzard's rule. I feel that since he has the rogue on a legit new account with a likely different secret Q/A, different email, login, and serial code, and authenticator that I won't ever get the rogue.

What can I do? I'm just pissed I trusted this guy and now I'm out the money since he won't respond to my emails or calls. Any insight would be appreciated.
 
I'm moving this to safe buying and trading forum. That is where it belongs. If nobody is giving you an answer there - then no one knows the answer. They're not ignoring you.
 
the only question i can answer for sure is number 2. as for 1 and 3, no one is exactly sure about blizzard's account investigation process or security measures.

for safety assume the account is going to be flagged.

unfortunately as long as he has the cd keys he can continue removing the authenticator and recalling the account in a tug of war.

eventually blizzard will lock the account requesting a mail in of a notarized copy of the ID - which seeing he is the original owner, he can provide.

in this case the only thing you can do is make it more difficult and hope he gives up.

as long as he is the actual original owner, it maybe messy, but anything you can do can be removed and "fixed"

chances are he is trying to ignore you in the hopes you will give up and leave him be.

you should try reaching him at his home address or speak to a guardian if he is a minor or parent.

as long as money changes hands, its still fraud.

What I would do in your situation is recall the money. If you paid via paypal, do a dispute. If you paid via Western Union or Moneygram, I hope you saved your receipts, then go to the exact location you sent the money from, explain that the payment was for an internet purchase and you never received the item. They will get in contact with the person that picked up the money (Western Union requires a valid Government ID with all money pick ups over $50 due to the patriot act, the one good thing about it /eyeroll), and if he cannot provide valid shipping information you will get your money back minus the WU fee for sending it in the first place.

That is one REALLLLLLY persistent OO. He has no shame either - given you ID and phone etc and he still wants your cash and his toon for himself, what an absolute evil [censored]. Lets hope he is in a car wreck within the coming weeks.
 
chances are you are going to lose the battle regardless of what you do.

I would call into blizzard, explain the situation in TOTAL detail, all info about the account you can provide is best.

Have the account banned, you paid for the account you geared the account. He waited until you did so to recall it. Theres no reason he should have a nicely geared rogue that YOU geared.

Send in the photo ID and all info and chat logs you two had, they will ban the account/account involved.

Yea, there won't be a tug of war issue going on for too long, eventually blizzard will either perma lock the account, or require something sent it like MARCK mentioned that only the OO can supply.

Also, no matter what happens to an account/character its always reversable, so you can still send in ID and they will be able to put the rogue back on original account or on a new account for your security, but then the OO can reverse that too.

So, try and get your money back asap. I'm not too familiar with Paypal's policies, but I know after like 45 days you cant open a dispute, but I am sure you can call in and explain the situation, as they always lean towards the buyer when it involves virtual goods.
