On battle.net account sales and security

As a habitual WoW quitter (I've quit the game and uninstalled at least 15 times), I'm wondering if the move to a merged battle.net account offers more security than ever to a seller as an unintended consequence.

Many accounts that I've seen lately have more than just a WoW account on them. Since paypal doesn't really offer buyer/seller protection for claims involving 'virtual property' (or whatever the word is, it escapes me right now), could you as a seller not claim that you were paid for the other game on the account, and the WoW account just happened to be there?

Perhaps the same could work in reverse. If you buy an account that has SC2 or Diablo 2/Warcraft 3 on it, perhaps say you were buying that. I'm sure paypal would offer protection for the purchase of a copy of WC3/D2 if purchased over eBay.

Perhaps this has been covered ad nauseam in here, but I didn't see a thread specifically for it.

Could be wrong, but it's my understanding that paypal doesn't cover virtual goods, so it wouldn't help unless you also sent the buyer the WC3 box or something and kept a tracking number for it.

The way I do business always includes sending the buy a USPS, signature-required piece of mail that comes with a tracking number. Just wondering if having/sending the cd key for a game such as WC3 would enhance your ability to be protected.

I guess, but the account would have to be worth like $20 for it to be reasonably believed that the WC3 was what was sold and the WoW account just happened to be attached.
