Need help

So i traded this guy a rogue i got for a toon which was whored around i guess. Somehow the ip tracker picked up his this morning or last night and got the rogue banned so i gave back the mage. How is that fair that this kid cant wait to log on a toon after hes given info right away. At least i had the decency to give him his toon back lol. Was the problem of the toon being banned on me or how does that work?
Sorry if this doesnt belong in this section seems that if im not at fault i should get the toon back and somewhat belongs.

It depends on the terms of your trade.

I know that everytime I have made a trade in the past, I made it very clear that any ban based on the description of an "account trade" by the game developers was not my responsibility. In other words, if the account is banned because it is traded, I'm not held responsible.

If you made these circumstances clear before the trade occurred, you may argue your case; however it's controversial if this was never discussed. I suggest claiming you were hacked and see if you can get the rogue unlocked.

I always thought once traded it was the other guys responsibility but i guess since i didnt let a grown man know that im in the fault. Seems odd but thanks for the information and yeah im contacting blizzard and hoping they go for the i was hacked deal.

I agree completely, but you cannot prove that they are responsible without a contract or a disclaimer set in place.

Here is a disclaimer I created for an old thread. (Sorry for the old code):

Notice:
ANY trade done between my RuneScape account and your WoW account is <span style="text-decoration: underline">final</span>. Any account penalties thereafter the transaction is not the responsibility of the original owner. (I.e if you get banned for macroing in RuneScape, you are not entitled to recalling the WoW account back) Any trade that voids the above circumstances (i.e you are not the actual original owner) voids the terms of the trade and will be reversed.

Something like this would be enough to show that the buyer or trader was aware that any penalties were their responsibility. Always be clear in these types of transactions in the event that this type of occurrence ever arises.
