Please note this is not a scam thread. This is in regards to a recent trade gone wrong. I am seeking a possible solution.

Describe how you were scammed: I traded my 80 UD Priest and 77 BE mage for his 80 Nelf hunter. He was a good guy and we talked over AIM, ingame and on Vent. He said he really, really wanted a priest and after we finished off the trade, he even said he was "near tears" because he finally got a priest [I am not freakin' joking]. I had good faith that, given he was TWV, this would be a secure and safe deal. I didn't think there'd be a whole load of chain trading, evasive conservations and little help later on.

I play my Rogue as my complete main, and the priest, more or less, was an alt I went to when I was bored. This is essentially what the Hunter would become for me. I got the chance to play her a total of three times, until I decided to log on the toon on I believe the 6th of September. At this point, it said the account was locked and I had to check my emails. I checked my emails and I have an email saying there was "unauthorized" access to the account and that it was locked, with a form that had to be signed out to retrieve it. Obviously, I needed the OO for this.

So, I went to Organix and asked him if he could fix this for me. He told he he'd try but he deleted all his WoW contacts, deleted WoW from his computer and had decided to entirely quit the game. Rather convenient, but alright. I told him I really need this fix, and I gave a deadline of at least 5 days [there is more prevalent information as to why I was rather set on this, I'll discuss it later].

As I talked to him the next day, and then the next, it seems increasingly hopeless. He said he had NO idea who the person was on MD, nor their AIM info [[censored]?], and he honestly acted indifferent to the whole thing.

Other details / notes: I'd say this part is pretty important.

After claiming how much he loved the priest, he traded it for a warrior that I personally knew who the owner was. His reasoning behind this was that Mschario119 on AIM [or Titaan on MD] [the owner of the warrior] was his good friend [no proof of this, thus far] and that the account already had a Priest. Fine - I accepted this. At least it was Titaan, who I knew was trustworthy.

This was around two days after I traded with him. Not long after he traded the Warrior, he traded it for a DK, which he THEN traded for a Steam account and claimed he quit WoW [lol]. Now, I talk to him now, and he's bought a WoW account [he says] and is playing WoW again [I could tell by Xfire].

What really irks me is how he dances around with what he wants. He claimed he loved the priest, then two days later trades. I know I shouldn't be offended, but I was. I dealt with it, and then I see him trade AGAIN, and then AGAIN. He's now put EVERYONE in a bind, he doesn't even KNOW the OO of the Hunter and if I recall I have to screw over, what, 3 different people, two of whom I don't know? He's made no effort to rectify the situation from what I've seen, and I'm becoming frustrated.

I would advise against recalling the account as it would cause chain recalls. You are in a sticky situation and the only way I see a potential resolution is by having OrganixMD give his end of the story. So I'd like to have OrganixMD post in this thread explaining himself and his actions. I'm interested to hear what he has to say. Once he has done this we can go from there.

I understand, and it appears Titaan's warrior is being traded [again]. Only Titaan is the only who hasn't chain traded the accounts around.

Hey guys, I recieved the hunter from [nmh] here on MD. AIM name is [n0rmannnnn]. I traded him a Female NE rogue that I had for it, he has NOT been online for me to talk to, so I have not been able to find out if he was the one who took it, or who had it before him.

In response to Toasted:
Yes I was very excited about the priest, but quickly got bored (no offence to you or your toon), I proceeded in trading a few times after that, but with well established users - I had no dealings with the people that had the well established MD users accounts before them. The reason I began trading around was the fact that I was getting bored with the game, I then gave my account away for a steam account with 8 games on it. Deleted WoW and began playing the games on steam.
I then wanted to play wow again, so I bought an account as of yesterday http://www.markeedragon.com/forums/ubbth...S_4#Post2846317 is the link, I have never recalled an account, if I get an account and its recalled, I just go buy a new one to avoid situations such as this [chain recall].I told you last night that no one had been online for me to find out what happened, I have been on AIM, and I have not been dodging conversations. Yes you have messaged me, but when I was work, picking my children up from school, or making supper.

I am sorry for any inconvenience my actions have caused, but I have been trying to rectify the situation.

I've only actually messaged you three times, and I never implied you were dodging the situation. However, you've repeatedly said that you don't even know who the OO is or who they are on Markeedragon. You haven't even provided any possibilities who it is on Markee, which, honestly, doesn't give me any faith this can be changed.

Let alone, Titaan's toon has been through multiple owners and it's being traded AGAIN.

You've also said you don't even know their AIM name, so I don't know who'd have to be online for you to fix this problem.

EDIT: What I'm saying is I'd like to see you give me definite answer as to who you're going to pursue this solution instead of alluding to vague things. You've told me, specifically, you don't know the OO, at all. So who would be online for you to fix this problem? You haven't been able to contact anyone for... what is it, 4 days now? What is going to change?

I'm regretting this deal, in all honesty. And I'm not the only one.

In fact, nothing you've said on AIM has been reassuring - frankly, it's been the opposite. You've made it sound like you can't do ANYTHING.

My first instinct would be to message nmh, as he is the person i recieved the hunter from. And yes, I cant do anything if no one is online to contact.

EDIT: Just so you know i have been having to go through each and every one of my saved IM files, from people dating back to 1 year ago because there was not a post on markee about the hunter nmh was trading, he asked if i would be interested over AIM, and that was that. My memory? Yeah its bad, should I be ridiculed for you thinking that I am not working on the problem? No - I have a family, work, and responsibilities, and just to be frank, this video game and its drama comes last, I will get to it when I have time to spare. It will get done, I will figure it out, or atleast try, but I do not have hours and hours and hours to spend.

If I had saved AIM conversations this would be a whole lot better, but I copy pasted half of what you said to Titaan, as well, and he found it just as hopeless. You gave an attitude that you had no idea who the person was. Now you know their AIM, but that seems the be the extent of it.

We all have real life responsibilities. Don't treat yourself like the only one. I have Basic Training in 2 months time.

Now, I have to ask what is a reasonable amount of time to wait for a solution to occur. At this current point, it is 9 days since the account was banned for unauthorized access [which could be because someone attempted to recall it].

A month seems extremely excessive, if this person doesn't log on for 2 weeks or more, there is a good chance they used that AIM only for MD and probably aren't going to log back on. I'd like some sort of solution here, but if all you have is an inactive AIM name, I'm rather unsure how this will get resolved at all, no insult to you.

I have had to wait up to a couple months, which really is not fair, But in all honesty he should of given you the priest back awhile ago...

All in all, with all the chain trading and misleading i would of just recalled my end but thats me, Hate to scew others but when its blatent he really didnt care then theres not much else left to do...

Problem is if I recall I know that since Titaan's warrior is now getting traded a bunch, he'd probably get srsly shafted if he tried to get it back...

Hello,

I am confirming that all of the information toasted is posting is in fact true.

I did trade butterbean my warrior for his priest. Unfortunatly i am the one being targeted in all of this due to the fact butter has now traded the warrior account again and now has been in the hands of so many owners its no longer safe.

I really am getting kind of angered in the whole sense that if my priest gets recalled because of someone else's wrong doing then what? I recall my warrior? Then we just have a huge chain of bans/locks and no one wins.

Imo butterbean you seriously have to fess up to whats happened here...

Hope this gets resolved soon because ive been playing the priest like crazy.

I have fessed up and said that I will do my very best to figure out who took what, what took who, why they were taken, and pass all the info off to the appropriet people ie Titaan and Toasted. I have had 0 dealings with these toons since I let them go. Then I get hit by 2 people telling my I am personally held responsible for the accounts. yes I had them, yes I traded them to REPUTABLE markee members. Whomever had them BEFORE the Reputable members is beyond me.

The fact of the matter there Toasted is the HUNTER got recalled, thats why your upset. Nothing wrongful has happened to the warrior, Teopoet never had access to that hunter, who ever had the hunter - nmh and whoever he got it from are the ones in question atm. AS SOON as I see him online I will contact him. But until that time I can not just pull a conversation and fix this right out of thin air.

His AIM name is n0rmannnnn, you can see when he is online as well.

It's more or less only any issue because if this doesn't get resolved I have to recall - I spent time and money on the account, I can't leave empty handed. Since Titaan isn' the OO, if he recalls the warrior it'll probably get banned and locked, so what will he do?

I just noticed a day after receiving the email the account was locked, I got another email with the basic:

Does he ever log on when I'm on is the question... and the answer is no. Since you've posted that, I've never seen him on. I'm slowly losing a lot of faith this can be repaired, honestly. I'll give it more time, but if I don't get the hunter back I hope you have solution prepared or I am going to be forced to recall. Unless Mschario can come to a solution with me [which he shouldn't have to]. I really can't let myself lose the money and time I've invested into a toon for nothing.

Btw, I googled that AIM and found them on armory. They had a hunter... but it was an orc.

I have only been given 1 name from the MD name nmh - never seen that person online. Toasted has also confirmed he hasnt seen him online.

I do not know what resolution I can present. I guess the next person to talk AGAIN to is nmh, since he is the one I got the hunter from.

What happened:

1. I told OrganixMD that the AIM he gave me was for an Orc hunter. He traded me a Nelf hunter. He said that was the only aim he had and could get.

2. I asked if we could come to some form of compensation. He said he could not, and he'd have to deal with recalls.

3. Given I've spent 250$ CDN originally buying that from my friend and I've spent years of time into the character, I regretably had to call. There was no solution, Organix clearly stated he could do nothing, and specifically said he'd have to deal with recalls.

4. I got my priest back, Titann attempted to get his warrior back, and like I predicted, because Organix chain traded it so much, it instantly was locked. He is not the OO and has no contact to the OO, thus he's out of an account.

EDIT: I don't know what else I could possibly do. I'm not going to give away my account for free because Organix is incompetent. Especially considering I wanted to let my nephew play a 2nd account, which is why I traded for the hunter. Well, that didn't fly, so now I am letting him play my priest.
