My Activity Sidebar Added!

We received many requests from members asking when the "My Threads" sidebar feature would return. Today I'm happy to announce it's back, bigger and better.

In the top nav bar you'll see a new arrow > or <

If you hover over that it will display all your recent threads and inbox messages for the last 10 days.

We're still working on this addon and we'll have to final version tomorrow, so there's still a few things missing. Below are the complete list of features.

• Pin the sidebar - this option will allow you to keep it open
• Switch sides - this option will allow you to move the sidebar to either the left or right side of the site
• Filters - Filters will allow you to display threads only, conversations only or both.
• New replies will display highlighted to easily identify items with new posts.
• Last reply avatar - the avatar of the user who replied last will display so you can see if you need to reply or not.

Can you make it so that it pushes the content to it's right, instead of being drawn over it?

There's no point in using the pin option if it prevents you from reading posts

It sounds good but I guess it will be better if it's on the right side so it doesn't block the thread. also if it's only for my threads.

You can move the sidebar to whatever side you want.

Yes, it only lists the threads you created.

It's an overlay so we can keep it simple and do more with it. Editing the design so the content is moved on all pages would be a huge update to the theme and very time consuming. We also can currently list 30-40 items, but if we integrate it into the design, it would have to be limited to about 10 otherwise it would stretch the design vertically too much. We also already have a sidebar on some pages, so that would cause an issue. We would have to either add a 2nd sidebar on some pages, causing width issues, or we would have to display this info at the bottom of the current sidebar which would be annoying for members to have to scroll down to see their items.

This is meant as a quick list of all your current activity so you can easily find any of your recent threads or inbox messages. It can show a lot of items anywhere and causes no design issues so we can easily make more updates to it in the future without worrying about whether or not it's going to break the design.

There's a few issues with mobile, the final version will have that fixed.

I agree, I think a click would be better. We'll make the update soon.
