multiple accounts

Excuse me, but why do I all of sudden have shown a multiple account on my profile. I think i know that guy, but he is from canada and i met him on a different forum. Why would his account be linked to mine...

He logged into your Epicnpc account yesterday.

If you used the same password on your Epicnpc account as other game accounts you might have sold or traded with him, that's how he got it. Luckily you have the authenticator on your account so he couldn't do anything.

I suggest updating all your passwords.


Please confirm you did not give or allow him to access your account. He will then be banned as a scammer.

I thought you cannot login if you don't have the code from authenticator, like steam guard. He has really good rep on other forums and he was curious about moving to epicnpc, asking to lend him my account. I was a bit hesistant but I considered the option, since he seemed trusted, that is why i recently changed the password. My bad then, I thought he won't be able to login at all. I don't think it would be fair to ban him as "scammer", as he provides a quality service of steam hours boosting. He didn't mention having an account here, so I will need to inquire further about this.

Just to sum it up, I changed the password to the same as on the account he is boosting hours for me. It would take me some time to find the phone i activated the authenticator app on anyway and also the time to think it over without fully declining him, or at least so I thought. I am sorry for the inconvenience. Is there any chance to remove the multi account on my profile?

Someone can login, meaning their IP is recorded, but you can't do anything until they enter the code from the authenticator. If someone doesn't have the authenticator, they will be asked for an email security code, so every account is protected on our site.

Allowing someone to 'borrow' your account is not allowed, this is exactly why we have a "multiple account' detector. If you don't want other accounts linked to yours, don't give out your password to other members. I'm sorry, the link to his account will remain.

The thing is, I did not exactly lend him the account. I just said I will change the pw and I guess he figured out it would be the same one as on the account i gave him to idle hours, since the login is the same as username on epicnpc. If banning him will remove the multi account, then feel free to do so, since he didn't say everything (that he has an account already for example and that he has actually been to this website before).

Some create a account and think they can make a new one based on not liking their name. We do not allow that but that does not make them scammers. Credibility has nothing to do with the "1" on your multiple account deal. Trying to justify what you did or did not do just might.
