I want to discuss a few things about this situation and shed some led with a similar situation that is going on with this user. (SeanDylans situation with tehchieftain as well as mine, do me a favor and read through his entire thread so you know whats currently going on there and then read through this so you can see the exact similarities):
I sold tehchieftain an account on June 2nd. I received this account from my trusted business partner Duffz (I've been working with him for well over a year and there hasn't been a day in the past year where I haven't talked with him, either on the phone, AIM, email, etc.), one of the most trusted users on this website, he currently has over 170+ positives on TWV transactions alone. Duffz purchased this account from the OO. So only three people have the full information to this account, at least from what I know. The OO, Duffz, myself, tehchieftain, and maybe someone else I don't know about, where a trade went bad or whatever it is with tehchieftain. Actually, now that I think about it, there is a fourth person. Before we did the transaction, tehchieftain told both Duffz and myself that he had a business partner. Tehchieftain told me that 90% of the transactions he does is for this business partner. This only adds more confusion since tehchieftain might not know all the specific details on what might have happened. Maybe this "business partner" did something wrong and isn't telling tehchieftain something. When I started to ask about him tehchieftain got a bit defensive and didn't really want to talk about it. The first time the account was recalled, I got a lot of angry / pissed off AIM messages from a screenname I'd never seen before. I've never talked to this person or done any type of transaction. Yet he told me that I scammed him and that I was a scammer. I soon realized that this was most likely the "business partner" of tehchieftains. He obviously knew a lot about me, I can only wish I could say the same. Adding another person to the mix after I sold tehchieftain the account adds another dimension to this entire situation.

I was contacted by tehchieftain informing me that the account was recalled. Since he contacted me at a late hour, Blizzard was already closed so there was nothing we could do. We made plans the following day to figure everything out. At this point in time, everything seemed to be going alright and looked like we would be able to handle everything like professionals.

After talking with the tehchieftain, I decided to contact the OO to see if he would even pick up his phone. I thought that the OO had to be the one recalling the account and I doubted that he would pick up the phone. Why would someone who recall an account respond back / talk with the person who purchased the account. To my surprise, the OO picked up and we discussed everything that had recently happened. He told me his current situation, which seemed completely believable, and told me if I needed any more information / help in attaining the account back to contact him. I said thanks a lot and hung up. After this conversation ended, I started to realize a few things. If the OO didn't recall the account, Duffz clearly didn't either, who recalled it? This is the first point where I became worried and thought tehchieftain was doing something behind my back. (remember he has a business partner and his business partner could be doing something and not telling tehchieftain about it)

This is the day where I told tehchieftain that we would contact Blizzard and get the account back. The previous night I had informed tehchieftain that I had work today and I would be unable to contact Blizzard. But I did told him that Duffz had all the information to the account and it was who I got the account from, and that he is trusted friend / business partner. So Duffz would be the one recalling the account and he would be talking with the tehcheiftain and not me, to which tehchieftain said that was perfectly fine, he just wanted the account back. I asked Duffz if he could do this for me and he was more than happy to. I mean, we are very good friends and have been business partners for a long time, he is also the original one who purchased the account so he knows all the information and he knows what to do when you call Blizzard so I wasn't worried.

Duffz calls Blizzard and gets the account back. Duffz hands all the information over to tehchieftain and gives him the account back. Once I arrived home I discussed what happened earlier in the day with Duffz. He said everything was taken care of but was skeptical about tehchieftain and the way he was acting. He thought something was up, as did I. Seeing how Duffz still had the OO's contact information he decided to contact the OO himself to see what was going on. I hadn't yet told him that I also contacted the OO but he wanted to do some investigating on his part (such a good friend
). The OO picked up but once again (OO's who recall accounts do not pick up the phone, if they do, they soon realize who it is and hang it up immediately) and discussed everything with Duffz. This is when Duffz supposedly became really nervous and seemed confused. He couldn't understand who would recall the account since he was fully confident that I didn't, he didn't, nor did the OO.

There is actually something else that I think should be noted. Lets give the OO a name to make things easier, lets name him Jim. Jim originally sold the account that I sold tehcheiftain to Duffz. At the time, Jim had two separate accounts that he was the OO of and wanted to get rid of them both. He talked with Duffz and decided to sell him BOTH of his accounts, the one which I later received and sold to tehchieftain, and another account. Before I ever received the account in question, Duffz had it for well over 5+ months and nothing had ever happened to it. Once I received it, I sold the account and within a week of selling the account it was supposedly recalled. The likely hood of Jim (OO) recalling the account within the same week that I sell the account is very unlikely. You have to remember, I also talked with Jim (as did Duffz) AFTER this happened, which makes it even more unlikely. Lets talk about the other account that Duffz purchased. This second account, who Jim is the OO of, is still in perfect condition and Duffz still has access to it. He has had this account for over 5+ months and nothing has ever happened to the account. If Jim really wanted to screw people over / risking himself getting banned on MD, why in the world would he recall one of his accounts and not two? The majority of people / anyone with some intelligence would recall both accounts. They also wouldn't talk with two separate people regarding one of the two accounts he had sold and tell them both that he would be willing to fully cooperate with anything they needed.

I was contacted by thechieftain saying that the account had but once again been recalled. This only further raised my confusion as to who might be doing this. I told him to sit tight and decided to contact the Jim (OO) for a second time in under two days. He picked up again (knowing who it was by now) and I told him what happened. He basically said the same thing as the previous day and told me he hasn't touched either account and nothing has changed. I told him what might happen if the account was recalled for a third straight time and that I would need his ID / for him to fill out a form. He said he would be glad to help out in any way possible. Once I got off the phone with Jim I felt better because I knew this recalling wasn't my fault. Regardless, I was still going to help tehchieftain out and make sure he got the account back, even if he might be working against me. (more on this later)
For the past few days / this day as well, I made it quite clear that I would help tehchieftain out. Obviously, I was already doing what I could to help him out, I had already gotten the account back within his hands with a day of it being recalled. For most people it would be obvious that I was more than willing to help him out. But once this second recall happened, tehchieftain would have none of it. He told me he would be opening a paypal dispute and that this was over. Once I heard this, I told him not to do it and that we'd figure everything out. I told him that I would be doing everything I could to get the account back to him. He wasn't really listening and decided to open a paypal dispute up. Once he did this, it made me angry. I have no idea why a person in this type of situation would open a paypal dispute after I clearly told him I would be more than willing to help him out and try to work something out like civilized professional people. Once he did this, I told him I would no longer be helping him out and that this was over. He clearly no longer wanted my help and wasn't listening to a word I was saying.
<span style="font-weight: bold">June 11th:</span>
Paypal dispute is closed and I win the claim. Even though I won the dispute I still felt bad so I decided I would still help him out. I contacted him and told him I'd still be willing to help him get the account back but at this point in time, he wasn't even willing to discuss anything with me. This is exactly when I saw the scammer thread on me, which made me even more angry. First of all, he lies and tells everyone that I am no longer going to be helping him because of what he did and that I never once helped him, which I clearly did.

When the first recall happened and thechieftain got the account back, he informed me that gear / gold had been deleted / taken off the toon. Which made me think that he might want some sort of compensation for the losses or an entire new account. First off, whenever anything is deleted off a character or gold is taken off a toon, you can easily get it back. Open a GM ticket and let them know the situation. You will receive everything you lost within a few days. Second, why would someone who recalled an account delete all the gear, take all the gold off an individual toon, and keep recalling the account? Why would you do this?
Within the past few days that I've talked with him he keeps saying that he has had zero problems in the past and that I'm the one scamming him and that he is completely legit. With all the details I've laid out I think its fairly obvious that I've been nothing but helpful and that something is going on in his end and not mine, whether he will admit it or not. I then realized that SeanDylan (moderator / highly reputable seller) has a similar situation going on with tehchieftain. At the time I didn't know how similar it was but I decided to look at the thread and talk with SeanDylan. After discussing everything with him, the amount of similarities between his and my situation are very similar. The interesting part is SeanDylan never knew about this "business partner" and it was never discussed once. If you look at this thread and at his scammer thread, you will know what I'm talking about. Both of us have been accused of scamming him and that he wants some sort of compensation immediately. We both contacted the OO and for both of us, they were more than willing to help us out. We both realized that the only thing that could be going on would have to be on tehcheiftains end and not ours, seeing how the OO never recalled the account and was more than willing to help out, plus neither of us recalled the account. Obviously, if we were never able to contact the OO this entire situation would be different because we would know that it was a problem on our end and we both would be willing to give some sort of compensation for the loss of the account, but that isn't the case for either of us. The likelihood of two highly reputable members going through similar situations and being excused of scamming an individual, both from the same person, is highly unlikely.
