Its pretty disappointing that my first post on these forums has to be in the scammers section, but thats where it has to be it looks like. This was my first trade, and it didnt go down too well. I saw a post by a guy named 'AsBloodRunsBlack' who was interested in trading a tauren shaman named 'grizz' on a pvp server for a paladin of mine. In all honesty, he sounded like a completely intelligent and reasonable guy so my first instinct was to trust him. /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif I didnt save the first part of the conversation due to that reason. What it basically consisted of was the swapping of account info and passwords (mine checked out ok) but when he gave me the account info for the shaman the information didnt work when I tried to enter it in the site to verify the information. So I politely asked again for the info, and he said he was sorry that it didnt work. Suddenly the story was that the account actually belonged to a friend of his, who happened to work at blizzard in the account management department. He said he'd call his friend and get the correct information. In the meantime he wanted to verify e-mails so that it makes the process go quicker when he actually does have the shaman's account information. I didnt mind doing this, on due to the fact that I figured I still have my SQ/A and my authentication code for the game. "AsBloodRunsBlack" was supposedly on hold for 2 hours. Then he said that he'd drive to his friends work and get it personally. I consented and an hour later he got online and said he got the correct info. But he also mentioned that for some reason my paladin's character had been frozen/banned, and that he could not access it anymore... and that his friend within blizzard should be able to fix the problem. I told him to work on fixing it, and get back to me after my work that afternoon.
He wasnt online till the next day. I asked him how it was going and this is how the convo went: (Keep in mind at this point he has my account name/password, and has the contact information changed to his e-mail... which was a HUGE mistake on my part for not being more cautious)

Obviously the password didnt work. I asked one of my other friends to add him on their aim to see if he was still online and had just blocked me. Which was the case. I still have my SQ/A and my authentication code that came with the game, as well as all the old contact information and old e-mail. So im hoping that if i pull the right strings blizzard could retrieve it for me.
