Bought an account from him back at the end of July. Account was recalled over a month ago. Been trying to resolve this privately through PM's and emails. I got one response from him saying he would try to contact the OO and find out whats going on. I haven't heard back from him even though he is reading the PMs I have sent him, not even a status update.

Please get in touch with me so we can resolve this.

The last update I got from him stated he was going to call the OO. That was 5 days ago. Still waiting to hear back.

Don't know if you me mean or the OO of the account. I have been on the last 3 days for most of the day and received no IM.

Spoke with him yesterday on IM. He is still witing to hear back from the OO and he sent me all the information he had on the account holder and the account. I can't do much with it at the moment since the account is locked waiting for ID verification. Waiting to hear back from him about the ID or the OO.

Talked to Kathunx yesterday. He is getting ahold of the OO's DL. He says I should have it by Friday.

remember to get OO to take a picture of him holding the ID up next to his face and also a picture of the ID it self, else im afraid blizzard will just respond with another ID request

So tomorrow marks the 2 month anniversary of trying to resolve this issue. When I do get ahold of Kathunx I am assured that things are being done, but in two months of dealing with this, all I have been given is the same original account information I received when I bought the account from him. Nothing has been provided that I can use. While I don't doubt that things are "being done", I don't think it is a priority by any means. I think I have been pretty fair by updating this thread as to what has been communicated and where the process stands, but at the same time, I am out the account and $200. I know $200 isn't a large transaction on MD, but nonetheless this ordeal isn't something I should have to deal with regardless of the price. That's why at this point, I think it's fair to just request a refund and be on my way. This way Kathunx can take however long he needs with getting the OO information, DL, whatever, and recover the account on his own. Then he can do whatever he wants with it after.

No resolution yet. Last we talked (5 days ago) there were 2 options talked about. A refund or a new account. He also stated he was still trying to get the DL in. I got the impression that a refund would be an issue due to personal reasons, etc which I understand, so I was expecting to hear back about a new account. I told him my preference and gave him a couple options. I am still waiting to hear back from him regarding what he came up with. I have been online the entire 5 days so I don't think I would have missed any IMs or PMs.

So basically I was going to update this today hoping a resolution comes asap. But right now that's where I stand.

We were told that you had given him an unspecified amount of time to get you a replacement account. If this is not correct I need you to be very clear here what you expect from him and in which time frame.

This is true. On our last conversation there was no specified length of time for him to get a replacement account or issue me a refund. Based on the conversation, he mentioned he "would look around for one of those accounts". I guess I took that as he was actively looking for options. Also, based on the time frame of this, I thought I would get a resolution sooner rather than later, if not just an update of things.

If it is based on a time frame that I set to get this resolved (which I never thought I had control over since I was the one complaining of how long things were taking), then I would have set one. That being said, I don't know how long a "reasonable" amount of time is expected to allow someone to replace an account. If I had my way, I would hope within a week or two. Again, not knowing if that is a reasonable amount of time.

So in my opinion, 2 weeks should be ok, but if he needs more time, I need to know why and how long he thinks he needs. Without hearing from him though, my concern was that nothing was being done.

-Edit: I also want to be clear that I never said anything like "Take however long you need" or "I am in no rush" in our conversations. I always gave him the benefit of the doubt that he was taking care of things.

kathunx, get ahold of me, i might be able to help you both out in this situation, when i have time later on i will check a couple of things over, but i think i might be able to give a helping hand here.

Alex, 2 weeks from Nov 27th is Dec 11th, not Dec 8th. Regardless, I have set his compensation in motion, and he should get it a couple days early anyway.

To update the staff, here is the situation -

Zcast agreed that a compensation account would work for him. He asked for a warrior. I got a warrior account for him with slightly less quality gear than the old account. I told him I could make up the difference by paying the owner of the account to gear it up to at least what he had before (which the owner agreed to do). He said he would rather I just pay for a faction change to buffer the difference.

He would like a third-party opinion on this. I don't know why, as I told him that this is as far as I'm willing to go. I feel that I have done what he has asked me to do in the time he asked me to do it in, so I'm ready to hop off this train and continue with my life. If an admin or mod would like to weigh in on the situation, please do. The sooner we get this settled, the better.
