is it safe to bought a game account with paid items?😱😨

hi!, recently i was wondering ¿is it safe to buy an account with paid items?

im asking this because im not sure but, ¿it is posible that the following scenario could happen?

1) Buyer bought an account with paid items
2) Then Seller request a total/partial refund to Google Pay/Google Play/Paypal/Master Card/any for all/some of the paid items on account
3) Google/Paypal/MasterCard/Any Refunds the requested amount to Seller
4) The Game Mods/Developers BAN the Buyers bought account because the Seller/original owner requested a refund
5) Buyer loose money gets scamed and Seller gets money for the account + money for the refund request


this could be a modus operandi for scamers?
is this a well known topic for the community?


now i think im afraid of buying an account with paid items....


i would really appreciate if any experienced seller/person with knoledge on this topic could give some advice/clarifications on this matter?
¿how could Buyers avoid getting victims of this way of scam?



Some ways of prevent this to happen, that comes to my mind are:

1) You ask for every receipt the account generated when buying items? (If thats the case, how do you know you got all the receipts from seller (and this alone wont prevent of being scamed) )
2) Maybe you only acept account with items purshased only via google and when buying you ask for the google account who made the purshases so that way the seller could not ask for refunds via google? (but you could not be 100% sure that Seller did not made other buys via other payment methods (paypal/Credit card ))

It happens but it's rare.

You can't simply "refund" payments that you made. You have to go to your bank and file a chargeback for fraud or unathorized transaction, which is not a straightforward process and not something that you can repeat. It's much more common that the previous owner used a stolen credit card to make those purchases. But even those are rare overall.

for this scam modus, it often attempted by 2nd owner account or the next, where they regret the purchase or regret their splurge on his/her own purchases

I know someone do this few years ago, he bought an expensive account, and after play for few monthes, the new limited unit out, he top up a lot to max it out, and later regret it because spent too much

he decided to quit the game, and he sold the account to get back the money that he used to purchase the account and attempt all refund which got approved by apple, request purchase on apple are easier than google

after heard this, I know that purchase whale or dolphin account is dangerous, you need go thoroughly for buying that kind of account

example :
1. all his top up / purchase receipt
2. check his payment method how many days they giving chance to get refund (mostly 90 days++ should be safety, but yeah, no one knows)
3. all access include date of creation, recovery and etc.

it indeed annoying, but I believe legit seller will try cooperate to deal with all of it if the account worth few thousand dollars, some don't bother if the account value are cheap, but if expensive account but the seller not cooperative, it already red flag, better safe than sorry in future
