My responce was:
I'd be happy to take $850 for the account, and as soon as it's deposited to my account I'd be happy to give full access to the account.
Aside from the horrible spelling errors, this has scam written all over it for a few reasons:
1. Your a representative of the company. Idk, maybe it's just me but I haven't seen companies actively seeking out accounts. There's no way to be sure you represent the company you speak of.
2. Your largely offering more than my asking price, that's a red flag.
3. Your spelling is terrible. Legit businesses display professionalism and cover the most basic and trivial aspect of communication, spelling.
4. You want to "check" the account before payment is made. That's never going to happen. Buying accounts is somewhat of a grey area, and the buyer assumes some limited risk. If you have concerns on not recieving an object, paypal will refund payment.
5. What is your ebay ID, rating, and how can you verify what you claim?
6. This one might be a long shot, but the " ^^ " characters don't look stretched, similar to those seen in chinese type. This suggests to me that you are not based in china. Therefore if you are not based in China, your spelling should be significantly better for whatever reason. Furthermore, since the spelling and grammer isn't great by any means, one might guess that you are potentially of a younger age group, perhaps in your teens.
If any of that above is true, that has scam written all over it to me. If I'm wrong, my apologies, but if you were legit there would be no reason not to make the purchase first (typical), and then recieve the product afterwards.
Does this smell like a scam to anyone else? Have you seen a similar email before? It threw up red flags at least for me.
