How safe is it buying a account without the CD key?

Thinking about buying an account on Ebay. The seller told me he lost the cd-key but he will give me the secret answer, account info and password. Is it safe to proceed? By the way Krzmc just answered my WTB post /u/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif This forum has been a great help. Thanks.
