hello im curious if any of you have tips on how to not get caught doing rmt deals
coz last year in a server of a game im playing gms went out of the way to entrap rmt sellers
so im curious how you guys keep safe
ty

adding more details and more specific situation so you guys can give better inputs :D

type of game: mmorpg

sample situation:
gm is actively weeding out rmt from his game
1 gm contacts and says will buy items from you
2 you use epicnpc mid man to transact
3 transaction goes smooth
4 then the account you used to transfer the items to the midman gets banned
5 he then traces your ip, trade logs, etc to track other accounts related to that account. and they're all either suspended to report and explain or banned as well.

how to prevent that kind of scenario from happening

thanks a lot for the help against paranoia XD

Hey @ghostpalace,

It would depend on the game, but normally if there is an auction or trade system I would recommend using that to exchange for items or cash, that way you're not just trading up loads of product for nothing in return. Also doing smaller trades tends to be better for keeping off their radar. Basically don’t make it to obvious, (like sending tons of cash or high value items via mail system). Try to make it like any other transaction. Lastly, remember to keep any type of IRL talk about the trade off in-game chat.

I’m sure other traders could recommend supplemental methods but this has worked pretty well for me.

Update: To avoid GM’s from banning your accounts, you should consider not giving out any Usernames, Account Email, or anything that is critical to safety tell payment has been made. Most GM’s will NOT spend money to ban RWT, and will rely on information given. Also a good idea to use multiple trading accounts to conduct business so if you do get busted, you don’t lose everything and can still continue to operate. Also you should be careful to not tie to much of your game account information to your EpicNPC profile, so there is separation. Like using prepaid gift cards purchased on other sites to use on an account, instead of adding your personal credit information, or anything that could be easily linked.

Hope that helps,

Hello
Was trying to look up for a place to ask a question, but don't really want to create new thread cause question it self is kinda small so i decided to ask in this thread cause topic feels like related to my question. Epic Npc info center provides following tip to sellers "Do not include your character's username, guild, server, rare items or achievements or any other information that could identify your account in the sale thread. Your character could get reported and banned for breaking the Terms of Service.", but what if buyer wants to know acc name before buying account (as example in game epic seven account name is important thing), cause it's important for him, and asking such information in private messages or discord, what should i do in this situation? Thank u very much for responses.

Well that’s entirely up to you. Personally I don’t give up those details tell after sale, however if the person has a good reputation here it’s probably fine to do so. You can also back up your claims and make sure a safe trade by using a Middleman, since everything being advertised will have to be confirmed before the account is transferred. Depending on the game, some third party sites allow you to upload all your account and character spcs without the need for showing usernames, ingame names, or anything that can get you banned. I would advise using these tools if available, so you can offer potential buyers the information they are looking for without putting the account at risk.

What I do is answer any kind of question the potential buyer may have. As well as take screenshots, or any other form of proof of account ownership and censor out the name. Sometimes I log into the account and take a screenshot with the buyer's chat window in the background.
