When I awoke this morning I received an email from a Richard H**** wanting to buy my account. I also received a request via msn to add him so I did.

After speaking for about 10 to 15 min... he stated he was a trusted user on this site and gave me the username and link to the old mmobay site. *First Flag*

After noticing the feedbacks were at least a year old *Second Flag* I checked on the new site and was the same results basically, outdated.

He offfered to send me an email from the registered email address (listed below):
Trustwho.com | ID Verify

So i told him I would send him one and he can respond. When I told him it was sent he said he replied, but was not a 'reply' email. SO I checked the header information and sure enough, he used a forged return address to show the above address, but was using a system through leaseweb.com. *Third Flag*

When I told him this he promptly goes "I got another seller" and logged off. *Final Flag*

So be warned if someone claims they are a trusted seller but can't access the account to send you a PM and/or offers to send you an email from the trusted email, don't do it. Send them an email to the trusted address and have them reply directly (don't tell them whats in the email, just put some odd set of words).

Hopefully I'll end up selling this account to a legit person.

** Update: when I sent him an email stating i reported him on here, he replied in lets say very adolesent terms. Which verifies this scammer **

OMG This is classic.. i told them I reported them to their email provider also.. and now i'm suddently getting "Account Closure" emails from the real "Blizzard".. its too funny.

Yea he is a definite scammer. The first thing this guy does is ask you for your bnet account name in order to verify the account. He will then ask you to send a money request form in paypal. DO NOT DO IT. While you are busy sending requests in paypal for your desired ammount he will attempt to change the email address associated with the account. Luckily, I was logged in to the account management page while he tried, so I was able to restore it quickly.

If this guy contacts you from this email address: [email protected] don't believe anything he says. Tell him he is a scammer and to go die in a fire and block him.

Here's a copy of an e-mail they sent posing as kinetixwaldowow@gmail.com. Notice how the return-path is actually [email protected]. Always check your e-mail headers, any e-mail address can be spoofed!
