I am requesting review of this 1-star feedback.
This transaction did not complete and no funds were lost. We agreed on $110 USD. I initially sent $110 via Goods & Services after the middleman advised GS should be used if F&F was not specified. Seller refunded and requested to net exactly $110 after fees.
I then sent $110 via Friends & Family twice. Seller stated currency conversion resulted in him receiving less than $110 USD. I was willing to cover additional fees to ensure he received the full $110 USD. Due to repeated refunds, PayPal flagged the accounts and further payments were not processing.
Seller then requested that I include a statement waiving my PayPal refund protections. I declined. At that point, the transaction was canceled.
The feedback claims I was attempting to underpay and “playing dumb.” This is inaccurate. I was willing to send $110 net and attempted both GS and F&F as requested. The only disagreement was over waiving PayPal protections.
Given that no funds were lost and I demonstrated willingness to complete payment, I believe a 1-star rating for misconduct is unjustified.
On top of this, there were no goods exchanged. While I did send him the funds initially, he refunded. Then I cancelled.
