DISPUTE Information
######################
What is the dispute about? Service / false feedback
Link of transaction thread: We never set up a deal on Epic
Approximate value of property: False feedback against me / $50 he claims I owe him and $75 that he cost me

Was a middleman used? No, I have never used a middleman with hundreds of safe, successful transactions
If yes, who?
Provide information about the dispute and what lead to it: The dispute happened because Derrick thought he could piggyback off me, wasted heaps of my time, lost me $50, still got paid $25 (so I lost $75 on this deal) and then demanded I owe him $50 that I said I would pay him when the PayPal clears, but he basically said f me so I said f him back
Other details / notes: Important: My case here is that I do not deserve negative feedback from a guy who refused to open a dispute if he had a real claim to make against me, we never did any deal together through Epic, he brought negative feedback here as I am a big competitor of his and to smear my name, I tried to be amicable through the whole ordeal, I asked him to open a dispute and prove that I owe him anything and agreed to pay him, I was going to pay him (for minimal work he did on an account we briefly shared but never had solid terms or a deal set up on EpicNPC over) before he came here to smear my name anyway, but once he called me a scammer and basically told me f me, I decided we can settle it here

Proof

You MUST provide proof or your claim will not be valid!
There is not much to prove... I did not scam him. We did not really do any work together. We are even. He tried to smear my name with negative feedback, and it could cost me clients in the future even though my reputation stands out.

Did you do any background searching before the transaction? Yes
Have you traded with this person before? I do not think he is a bad trader. I do think he left feedback to smear my name even though we never actually did business together, and we definitely did not do business together through Epic.
Approximately how many transactions have you done on EpicNPC? 300+

Not dealing through epic is not a reason to remove negative.

If you were going to pay him for work he did. Then thats a deal/transaction. You put work in past tense so that leads to show work was done. Why did you not pay him?

I told him up front when we first started that I would have to wait 180 days for money to clear in PayPal if we made a deal together where I got paid first. I've been scammed months later, and there was no way I'd be willing to lose my account plus pay someone who "worked" on it with me any % of the sale price. The guy did 5% of the work on that account and demanded 60% of the take. I said I might could do 50% but that was still really unfair to me, and he got an attitude. He called me a scammer when i reminded him that i can't put myself at risk of a PayPal scam where i lose my account plus half the value of the account that he did maybe 5% of the work on. We never agreed to terms. That's why i asked him to open a dispute. I am willing to be fair and pay him what i owe him, even if that's half, but he didn't want to wait for PayPal to clear. He said he didn't want the money, but attacking my reputation could cost me more than $50... I feel that the negative feedback is not a reflection of the way I do business. This guy just demanded unfair terms, cost me $75, wasted loads of my time, then came here to smear my reputation.

Asking someone to wait 180 days for payment is utterly ridiculous.

Hes been notified of dispute and your revenge feedback has been removed as we do not allow it.

I'm not understanding why he's opening a dispute about me. I told him just to keep the money and that I didn't care about it anymore. He consistently kept emailing me about threatening to open a dispute if I didn't take down the negative feedback.

I have all the emails that we've had back and forth. Of course we agreed to the terms, he even sent me accounts to work on for him.

Here is where Derrick cost me $75. $50 because he undersold me by "helping" me sell an account that I built and he did not touch. He emailed the guy I was working with on the deal and offered a cheaper price than what I had it sold for... I still paid Derrick $25 for this "help". He cost me $75 that day.

Not a big deal. I offered $175 to make a deal with him right now if he is ready. We’ll see.

Dude this isn't my fault, I don't see who's emailing you. You told me 175 was good so that's what I told him. That is what he offered. This isn't my fault.

He hasn’t emailed me. The point is you undercut me on a sale I was already working with the same guy on accounts that I built. Working together isn’t getting us anywhere when that happens. If he emails me yeah I can do $175 or $200 if he will go with it whatever.

I'll just tell him $200. You didn't close the deal over $25? That's such a small margin

I guess just ignore him and I’ll see if he starts emailing me again. He came to you after he came to me, and you gave him a better offer on 3x320 when I just told him $200. That sucks dude. This working together thing hasn’t worked out at all. We always get the same people emailing both of us, and it’s pointless.

Here, I explain to Derrick months ago that I have to hold PayPal money when I get paid for an account that he helped me on. Since these emails months ago, I was scammed about 4 months out, and it was a huge mess to try to fix. Luckily, I got paid, and I had not send money to anyone to "help" me with the accounts. Derrick is the only person who has "helped" me, and he has cost me loads of wasted time, $75 real money, and supposedly says I owe him $50 for barely touching an account we supposedly worked on together.

Derrick, I treated you fairly. I paid you $25 when you COST ME $50 on a deal I had already sold. I said I was going to pay you, and you called me a scammer. Based upon this information you KNEW I couldn't afford to lose my account, get scammed, and pay you. I told you months ago that I would have to wait on PayPal to clear... I also told you months ago that this wasn't working out. You continued to waste my time. I just wanted to resolve the feedback issue and clear up what is owed if anything. I have done so much fair and successful business here, and you come to smear my name because you didn't want to wait for PayPal to clear.

I don't think it's fair to set a precedent that someone can squeeze someone for money or attack their competitor with unwarranted negative feedback.

How is he supposed to know someone is talking to you? clearly you had poor communication between the two.

Of course you will have issues working as a team if you have poor communication and want the other to wait six months to get paid.

But you came here starting with a lie. By telling him youll pay him in six months and you having him do some work, that is a deal. So if you want feedback removed you need to complete the deal.

If your saying he is at fault because someone emailed both of you on seperate emails and got two different prices, that cannot he his fault. How is he supposed to know whos emailing you? If you get into a partnership with anyone else you have to have a better system for communication set up

I explained to him that I will pay him putting myself at risk if we can clear up the negative feedback. If I prove via PayPal I paid it, can I just have the feedback removed? And I will choose my "partners" more wisely next time?
