We have some new features planned for EpicNPC this year, some small, some big, so I thought it would be nice to layout what's coming up.

  • Feedback Import - This was just launched last week. Members can now import feedback from a half dozen websites. (LIVE)
  • Feedback Embed Code - Website owners will soon be able to proudly display their EpicNPC feedback, upgrades and imported feedback on their website's in a secure manner. The system will feature an domain white-list so others won't be able to copy the embed code to redisplay the feedback on fake/scam sites. (LIVE)
  • Gold Store Loyalty Program - The gold store will soon have a new loyalty program for buyers. The more someone spends the better the discounts offered. (2-4 weeks)
  • Transfer Credits between members - Members will soon be able to transfer credits to other members. This will transform the credit system to an currency system where members will be able to purchase items for credits instead of money. At launch there will be no "cash out" feature. Meaning you won't be able to transfer your credits back out for real money through EpicNPC. Members will be allowed to sell their credits to other members for real money. A "cash out" system has not been ruled out, it just won't be available at launch. (1-3 months)
  • TCG expansion - EpicNPC will be expanding into the trading card game genre for games like Magic the Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc. (within 6 months)
  • Feedback system upgrade - The feedback system will be updated to include more details about sales and purchases. These will be mostly minor updates and adjustments. (within 6 months)
  • Sticky Thread Outbid System - Members will be able to outbid other members to purchase a sticky thread if the forum is sold out. (1-2 weeks)

As always, I welcome any feedback and suggestions on what you would like to see on EpicNPC in the future. So if you have any, feel free to post them.

The "Location Info" button that will appear in someone's profile when he/she PM us isn't included in the updates? I just read it before that it will be added someday :(

Both are on the list and I'll try to squeeze them in when I can, however I can't provide an ETA of when that will be for those two. I'll try to get more smilies added soon since that's a simple file upload.

hmm here are few things i have trouble with

1. sticky thread should be a auction not first come first server :D (if i for example want to spend 50usd for my main market i should get that sticky :S)
2. the chat should have a history that i can see who wrote me, and a option to increase time before i go idle :)
3. emails from epicnpc are send to spam maybe that should be fixed could increase trafic when someone is sending pm or so

Select the email and then click "Not junk" or "not spam" and all future emails won't appear in your spam folder.

I added a 'chat history' feature, that will now display your old message to other members in the chat.

I'll think about the 'sticky thread' auction idea.

I support that sticky thread should be auction based rather than first come first serve. Or Alternatively, we can have a dual system. For example, 2 out of three threads are up for auction, and the remaining one will be based on lottery or some other methods so seller with good feedback but limited marketing fund can still have a chance to get the spot

I think, buttons should redesigned in different colors and different sizes. This will provide more visibility to buttons, they can be seen easily apart from the site theme by this way.

What if a scammer transfers me credits and then does a chargeback. Do i lose my credits as well if I lets say sold him my account or item?

+1 for this. Sometimes I wanna do an IP check on a person that hasn't had any posts or threads and it becomes impossible. So i would need to ask moderators to give me the IP instead.

Also chat time stamps would be greatly appreciated

The transfer system dispute rules will be posted once the system is ready that will explain how disputes will be handled.

Chat time stamps already exists, they are turned off by default, but there's a button you can push to turn it on.

Location Info for PMs is on our list, but since it's not a large update I wasn't listed above.

Found it ;)

Can't wait for these updates.

Any plans on adding some type of options that can "initialize" a trade. What I mean is for example when you are about to do a trade with someone after he leaves a post or do something on your thread a trade initializes and if he doesn't live feedback in let's say 30 days it automatically gives you +1 feedback?
I don't know about other sellers, but I myself have probably missed on at least 40-50 deals feedback cause people are too lazy or don't understand how to leave feedback lol(yeah I know it can't be simpler or take less time).

Also cheers for adding the "location info" to PMs. It's a really nice feature.

yes there are some losses of rating too on my side....

I must everytime explain new ones how to give feedback.... xD

Uhm so you mean when the buyer/seller posts and doesn't leave a feedback even if he gets scammed the scammer automaticly recives a possitive feedback? If so then i don't like the idea better if this goes manually.

It's also up to the buyer/seller if they feel or want to leave a feedback, noone can be forced to leave a feedback.

Well I assume if there is a scam on buyer/sellers side they will report it and that guy will just get banned, so it wouldn't matter if he gets some feedback or not.

Also I do agree that it's up to the buyer/seller if they want to leave feedback, but I'm sure that 99% of the times when they don't leave feedback it isn't because they aren't happy with what they got, but rather they just don't want to waste their time since they aren't planning on buying(usually buyers skip leaving feedback) any game related service any time soon if ever for that matter.

And I do agree just leaving a post isn't good idea since often people will just leave "contacting"/"adding" or ask a question, but won't order afterwards and it would be stupid to get feedback just for that, so it would have to be something that requires an action on both sides to start the trade.

P.S. Btw in my previous post I meant to say "Initiate" not "initialize", but I see that everyone understood what I mean :P

Well it's not always that people reports scams, and if they automaticly recives a possitive feedback the chanse is bigger that other falls victims for those scammers.
And it's always hard to know how the buyers/sellers experience the deal. If automatic feedback would be applied there should also be negatives and neturals and i just dont see how it will work out.

And if there will be automatic positive feedbacks for sellers everytime a deal has been made it will put us mods on more work if the buyer/sellers doesn't approve this and request it removed all the time.

There have been deals that's been success for me but it's not always i felt happy after the deal was done so i chosed not to leave a feedback at all when i didn't have a satisfied experience.

I just think the manual system chould stay but these are my thoughts, we will hear what Admin thinks aswell.

Yeah I get what you mean. I'm just suggesting, but obviously if the bad "perks" are more than the good it should be ignored. Still it would be nice if it's somehow simplified like for example having the option to leave the feedback straight on their post. I know I sound ridiculous saying that the current system seems complicated(because it obviously isn't), but there are people who just can't understand what they have to do to leave feedback and at the end they(I guess)become frustrated and say something along the lines of "I'm not at home now will leave you feedback later" or "Ops phone call sec" and never do it :P

Yeah i support the idea ''Leave the feedback straight on their post'' like there is a ''Leave feedback'' button next to Location button, that would be a great feature. I just think the other suggestion have much negatives that includes aswell :P.

Based on my previous experience with customers, I can also confirm that the current feedback system is not too intuitive. I have to copy/paste most of my customers a small "how to" guide about how to leave feedback, otherwise they just can't seem to find how to do it. Being able to leave feedback from the trade page or a system that would be more visible would be a great idea :)

Proposal to add

Code:
[s]strikethrough text[/s]

The type of people who have problems leaving feedback with the current system are the kinds of people who will continue to have problems with stuff like that regardless of how easy its made.

Seriously, how bad at navigating websites do you have to be to fail at clicking "Submit Feedback"

Just saying, you can lead a horse to water, can't make it click the feedback button though.

here is my idea how to improve feedback system

1.below feedback (on the forum post) should be button submit feedback
2. when someone leaves a feedback automatically the short coment is posted in the topic so you get a free bump too
